I suspect the original was a wig that became uncomfortable under the hot lights needed for color filming and that Powers opted for short hair as a more comfortable option and a more realistic one for a secret agent. It detracted reom her looks, though.

TCM used to have a sponsorship deal with the late Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios. Fairly certain they’ve always chartered Disney.

Roger Ebert did a few movie-themed charters with then as well, if memory serves.

When “Hart to Hart” began to suffer a ratings slide in its fifth season, I distinctly remember reading an article at the time stating how much viewers disliked Stefanie’s new haircut. They much preferred the fuller look she had had the previous four seasons and their disapproval helped contribute to the show’s decline.

Stef played Lee Remick's younger sister in one of my favorite movied, "Experiment in Terror."

I love TCM and always have, but I suspect that passengers on this vessel might be too much like the awful, irritating shits on those endless TCM Wine Club commercials, all flat affects and prim nerd humor. They remind me of a Gary Larson cartoon captioned “Nerds in Hell”, or maybe the old MadTV spoof infomercial for a dating service called Lowered Expectations. I own my own nerdiness but don’t want to be swallowed up into others’.

The first day Kim Novak showed Vertigo. She was very interesting talking about Hitchcock and her bipolar disorder. Ben Mankiewicz wrapped up the interview and they got up to leave. She didn't leave though. She walked downstage and got kind of emotional. She said I hope you love the film. That's all we want isn't it? To be loved. It's what Hitchcock wanted. It's what Jimmy Stewart wanted. Then she started stammering a bit. It started to get awkward and then a man yelled from the audience we love you Kim. She smiled and left the stage then.

The whole thing touched me and it melted my cynical heart. It ended up being a really cool experience.

r89 Jerry Lewis was pretty frail physically but sharp as a tack wit wise.

Michael York talked about how prophetic Logan's Run was. Ben M. loved that film and asked a lot of questions about it.

Lucie Arnaz showed some of her mother's films and did her nightclub act. (I noticed after one Latin song she exclaimed SARAVA! and said that's the show that kept her out of the Tonys.)

Alex Trebek was also there and ran trivia parties. (I knew nothing. His questions went way back in film history.)

Leslie Caron didn't say much of interest.

Keith Carradine was so fuckin' hot and sexy in the 80s and 90s. I remember walking on W 44th in Times Sq on a very hot afternoon in the early 90s when his musical was on B'way, and being stopped at an intersection waiting to cross. He stepped up right beside me waiting to cross the street, too. He turned and smiled and I remember his shirt was unbuttoned - wow, what a chest! What a smile on him. I wanted to make some conversation with him, but the light changed and he was a fast walker - went miles ahead of me in no time. I guess 20 seconds of staring at his chest was the allotted time for gay fans ?
