I don’t see how all the damage he’s wreaking will ever get undone. If Dems don’t win the house in 2026 it will (a) be because of ratfucking and cheating be the republicans and (b) spell the effective end of American democracy as we have known it for 250 years. If they’re able to steal the midterms, we’re probably looking at an authoritarian form of government for decades to come — probably for longer than most of us are alive.

There are 2.8M U.S. voters living abroad, a number that will surely be larger for the next election. This number does not include U S. military stationed abroad for whom the rules are a bit different.

For civilians, everything is tied to varying state procedures that can make the process easy and transparent, or require a good deal of effort on the voter's part and sometimes no evidence of the vote having been received or registered or whatever the process. Of course Trump would want to fuck with this and punish protest of any sort, not least moving outside the U.S. -- and it's a pool that is reasonably safe to assume is, on whole, disinclined to support him. No.number is too small if he can be seen you threaten and punish dissent
