Sloshed stewardess removed from plane after car crash

She was just channeling her inner Pats, leave her alone.

[quote]Kathryn Scott, 44, smashed her Hyundai into a roundabout but left it at the scene and was driven to Heathrow by a member of the public. Court was told she was taken off the aircraft after the crash was reported to police. She said she had drunk two glasses of wine eight hours before the flight. Magistrates were also told she has a liver condition that means she may not break down alcohol in a normal way.

[quote]Tests showed Scott had 91 ml of alcohol per 100 ml of blood in her system. The limit for flight attendants in the UK is 20 mg.

Petition to have her played by Courtney Thorne Smith in the inevitable biopic.

That would mean her blood was basically Everclear. I doubt even W.C. Fields could survive an ABV that high.

r5 It's supposed to be mg, not ml, I shortened it incorrectly to save space!

by Anonymousreply 6August 19, 2025 7:27 PM

So, 91 mg of alcohol per 100 ml, with 20 mg being the limit.

I'd need a few shots to deal with airline passengers.

Gotta give her credit for dedication.

91 mg/ 100 ml is a 0.09 in the American system. Over the legal limit in most states, but just barely. Tipsy.

by Anonymousreply 10August 19, 2025 11:06 PM

It's 0.05% in my country (like in Utah!), with 0.00% for beginners, professional drivers, and driving instructors. Y'all are too permissive, gotta get these winos off our roads. My daddy got caught sloshed once and they took his licence away. All those beatings when I was young... totally worth it after seeing him chastened, lol. He hasn't touched alcohol since.

I wished my dad was a drunk, he’d actually be more interesting.
