Underrated/lesser-known amusement parks

I grew up on the west coast and have been to a few major amusement parks in my life (Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Luna Park/Coney Island), but there are so many out there that look incredibly fun. I've heard good things about Lagoon Park in Utah, Cedar Point in Ohio, and Kennywood in Pittsburgh. This rollercoaster in Kennywood looks absolutely insane. What are some hidden gems?

Stricker's Grove outside Cincinnati is only open to the public a few times a year. The coasters are wooden.

I remember a huge roller coaster at Crystal Beach near Buffalo. I was too young to ride it but my elder siblings raved about it.

Knoebel's Grove

Bigger and better known: Hersheypark

Both in PA.

r2, I used to ride the Giant Dipper (thought it was called The Big Dipper) in the 60s and 70s when the wood was rotten and it rattled. It was authentically terrifying. So was driving over Hwy 17 pre-cement dividers to get there.

Siren's Curse looks too much for me.

Cedar Point isn’t “lesser known”, OP.

It’s pretty damned famous for its coasters.

Holiday World, formerly named Santa Claus Land, in Indiana.

I love the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, but their best coaster isn’t the century-old Big Dipper, it’s the Undertow, which is a steel coaster with spinning cars
