Unemployed Homophobe Joy Reid Slams Elvis and White Men: “White men cant invent anything”

DL fave and unemployed TV host Joy Reid has gone on another wild, racial tirade on the very timely topic of Elvis being called “The King of Rock n’ Roll.”

Joy was able to take time away from searching for those scallywags who hacked into her old blog and made those nasty comments about gay people.

While the U.S. burns, Joy continues to address the issues that truly matter to America while being as divisive as possible.

Thank you for bringing this very important dissent from white supremacy to our attention. We will file it away and return you to your usual hobby of slobbering over Nick Fuentes' dick.

Thanks again.

You all are just jealous because I’m right. I’m always right. Just like I was right about being framed for those very true blog posts I never made.

No one loves dirty, ammoral homos more than Joy Reid. I don’t even puke when thinking about how disgusting it is that you put your tongues up each other’s anuses for pleasure.

Ugh…. Nasty!!!

Disgusting 🤮!!!

by Anonymousreply 5August 18, 2025 9:18 PM

Next up: Yakub, the evil Black scientist who lived about 6,000 years ago on the island of Patmos. He engineered the white race through a selective breeding process known as grafting. Over centuries, this produced lighter-skinned humans, who then became Europeans. Whites are the “race of devils” created by Yakub. Black people, by contrast, are the original people of Earth, inherently superior and linked directly to Allah.

by Anonymousreply 6August 18, 2025 9:47 PM

I am SO glad they showed her the door. People are tired of this “progressive” finger pointing and it helps no one.

by Anonymousreply 7August 18, 2025 9:50 PM

I've heard this argument many times over the years, about white musicians and singers appropriating black musicians and singers style and creations. They are right to a certain extent. But Elvis was actually just as good and in some cases a better singer than those who inspired him or whose songs he covered or copied. Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Big Joe Turner, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Bo Diddley, who were the primary pioneers of rhythm & blues that veered into somewhat commercial sound. But for the most part Elvis (with the guidance of producer and engineer Sam Phillips) mashed it up with country & hillbilly music and took it a lot further, which is why it was more palatable to the mainstream public. Of course it helped that he was white and good looking.

Joy Reid always has the wrong take on the basics, from her shady take on homosexuals to not giving proper credit to whites, even when credit is due.

by Anonymousreply 8August 18, 2025 10:00 PM

People are 100% NOT tired of telling Trump Cult members what complete assholes they are. In fact, people are craving a lot more of that.

by Anonymousreply 9August 18, 2025 10:01 PM

but choose your battles. Elvis Presley is not the enemy.

by Anonymousreply 10August 18, 2025 10:14 PM

I'm totally fine with Elvis, but come on. Pointing out that black music was totally stolen and repackaged with the huge rewards going to white people is inarguable. It was real appropriation, not the shit that a lot of people mistake for "appropriation." We clearly fucked over a lot of black people in this country, for many many many years, and one of the ways we fucked over black people was to "remarket" black music as white music.

by Anonymousreply 11August 18, 2025 10:18 PM

For a perfect example of which R11 speaks, see: Boone, Pat.

by Anonymousreply 12August 18, 2025 10:20 PM

Oh, shut up, Aunt Esther.

by Anonymousreply 13August 18, 2025 10:25 PM

Maybe she wants to post that gem on the predominantly-white-male-invented Internet!

by Anonymousreply 14August 18, 2025 10:29 PM

But is common knowledge. So low-hanging fruit for this mediocre intellect and Harvard grad.

by Anonymousreply 15August 18, 2025 10:30 PM

Oh please, everyone knows the Internet is pretty much the playground of the "Asians," name East Asians and Indians letting white people think they still own the place. And of course it's going to be all AI soon, and AI knows no race.

by Anonymousreply 16August 18, 2025 10:33 PM

So Joy Reid is now an expert on Elvis and white men. Sure...

Maybe she needs to take the beam out of her own eye and get a job instead of picking at everyone else's splinters.

by Anonymousreply 17August 18, 2025 10:39 PM

White men must not have invented: artistic Impressionism; staged comedy and tragedy; the orchestral symphony; the technology for sound recording and motion pictures; photography; staged opera; the automobile; the airplane; and the manufacturing of steel.

I wonder who did?

by Anonymousreply 18August 18, 2025 10:41 PM

And maybe you need to stop be a racist cunt r17.

Think about it.

by Anonymousreply 19August 18, 2025 10:41 PM

And the reason to bring this up now is? As if all white people condone what Trump is doing to the Smithsonian. She and Tiffany Cross want a solely Black audience and they have it now.

by Anonymousreply 20August 18, 2025 10:42 PM

Well not you r18. What does that tell us? Are you trying to cunt your way into being amazing, or what? Why do you think that somebody who shares your skin color invented some shit makes you awesome? Why is that? Have you ever considered that it might not matter very much at all?

by Anonymousreply 21August 18, 2025 10:43 PM

Not every white person does condone that r20. Why do you love it?

by Anonymousreply 22August 18, 2025 10:45 PM

I deplore it. Every particle of Trumpism offends me and I'd rather discuss that than Elvis as a poseur. He was but he was sexy as hell.

by Anonymousreply 23August 18, 2025 10:48 PM

He was sexy, well admittedly for awhile. And again, I don't mind that he was what he was. But I think even he would acknowledge, yeah, totally benefited from stuff that was kind of racist if you think about it.

by Anonymousreply 24August 18, 2025 10:54 PM

[quote]Pointing out that black music was totally stolen and repackaged with the huge rewards going to white people is inarguable. It was real appropriation, not the shit that a lot of people mistake for "appropriation."

The western musical scale that our music is based on was developed bu white men. The majority of the instruments used in making our music, were invented by white men. The language the music is sung in. Our music has its roots in Europe.

Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino etc....plenty of the songs they recorded were written white men

[quote]We clearly fucked over a lot of black people in this country, for many many many years, and one of the ways we fucked over black people was to "remarket" black music as white music.

Uh...you do realize that that whole crop of popular 1950s black rock and rollers became millionaires, had massive hits and contracts.

Pat Boone made Little Richard and Fats Domino a fortune covering songs they had written: Tutti Frutti, Ain't That a Shame etc.

Etc and etc.

Aren't you racists supposed to own that and be proud of it these days?

by Anonymousreply 30August 18, 2025 11:00 PM

R30 You are an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 31August 18, 2025 11:02 PM

And you are a groyper, ain't ya Blanche?

by Anonymousreply 32August 18, 2025 11:03 PM

About Elvis: he grew up poor in Tupelo Mississippi. The music he grew up with was his music as much as anyones. He imitated no one.

by Anonymousreply 33August 18, 2025 11:04 PM

But only he made a fortune from it r33. That's the point.

And again, I don't blame Elvis. He really was awesome. But he was only allowed to be awesome and to be the mega star he was because he was white. That's the thing. That's the reason that made all the difference.

by Anonymousreply 34August 18, 2025 11:08 PM

A few weeks after Elvis' appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, Fats Domino performed his signature song "Blue Berry Hill (written BTW by a white man)

Now tell us...would you have expected teen girls across the country to swoon over him?

[quote] The western musical scale that our music is based on was developed bu white men. The majority of the instruments used in making our music, were invented by white men. The language the music is sung in. Our music has its roots in Europe.

Pure White Supremacy Propaganda and Bullshit.

The percussive, rhythmic sound of what became Rock & Roll didn't descend from Dead European White Males playing on their piano, violin, horn, flute, harp, bassoon, oboe, clarinet and trumpet.

The driving explosive beat of R&R came from Africa and slave experience with drums and clapping to spiritual songs and gospel and of course the Blues.

Don't get me wrong. Dead European White Males invented awesome music. But it takes away nothing from them to point out that they didn't invent nor were the precedent to the entirety of R&R.

And anybody who denies that there was economic and racial injustice in the music industry is talking outta their ass.

by Anonymousreply 39August 18, 2025 11:17 PM

[quote]But only he made a fortune from it [R33]. That's the point.

What?

All of those hit makers made a fortune. Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Platters etc

Fats Domino: Between 1955 and 1960, he had eleven Top 10 US pop hits.[5] By 1955, five of his records had sold more than a million copies, being certified gold.

Little Richard: ""Tutti Frutti" (1955), one of Richard's signature songs, became an instant hit, crossing over to the pop charts in the United States and the United Kingdom. His next hit single, "Long Tall Sally" (1956), hit No. 1 on the Billboard Rhythm and Blues Best-Sellers chart, followed by a rapid succession of fifteen more in less than three years. "

Chuck Berry: At the end of June 1956, his song "Roll Over Beethoven" reached number 29 on the Billboard's Top 100 chart, and Berry toured as one of the "Top Acts of '56". ....he recorded "Maybellene"—Berry's adaptation of the country song "Ida Red"—which sold over a million copies, reaching number one on Billboard magazine's rhythm and blues char. By the end of the 1950s, Berry was an established star, with several hit records and film appearances and a lucrative touring career. He had also established his own St. Louis nightclub, Berry's Club Bandstand.

Bo Diddly: Diddley's hit singles continued in the 1950s and 1960s: "Pretty Thing" (1956), "Say Man" (1959), and "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover" (1962). He also released numerous albums, including Bo Diddley Is a Gunslinger and Have Guitar, Will Travel. These bolstered his self-invented legend.[28] Between 1958 and 1963, Checker Records released eleven full-length Bo Diddley albums. In the 1960s, he broke through as a crossover artist

Shall I go on?

by Anonymousreply 42August 18, 2025 11:19 PM

bitch, you think the people who grew up with Elvis made any money from this "common heritage" of music? What are you? Simple. Elvis absorbed all that and was marketed as the white guy who could bring the black music to the masses. Stop being idiotic about this, you ridiculous whore. just stop.

by Anonymousreply 45August 18, 2025 11:29 PM

by Anonymousreply 46August 18, 2025 11:32 PM

"Colonel" Tom Parker (a white man) took advantage of & exploited Elvis just as he did the music that was invented by the Black race & the white hillbillies. Rock & roll music is so fine -- it should just be loved for what it is without having to be made yet another symbol of oppression. Joy Reid needs to pick a different battle (there are plenty of more deserving ones).

by Anonymousreply 47August 18, 2025 11:33 PM

Elvis, Pat Boone, Ricky Nelson....they had movie star looks.

Everybody and their dog has a podcast now. Not the flex you think it is. And her viewership is about at a whopping 150,000.

She's been trying to rebrand herself as far left, first by jumping on the "Maybe democrats deserved to lose because of Gaza" train, then saying she was "barely a democrat" on the Breakfast Club. None of which she would have said had she still had her MSNBC gig.

The thing is the far left can't stand her. She is loathed by Sanders supporters as well as ADOS , whom she smeared repeatedly as Russian bots.

[quote]We expected him to do exactly what he did: market negro music to a white, teenybopper audience.

Explain a few things to me.

In 1956, the year Elvis had his first hits, that same year "The Platters" had 2 records in the top 20 best selling records of the year. They were black...who were they marketed to? BTW: one of them was the second best selling record after Elvis.

In 1957 and 1958 three black performers were in the top 20 best selling records. Who were they marketed to?

1959 Lloyd Price came in at #3 and #13. Wilbert Harrison at #14. The Platters at #16. The Coasters at #17.

1960 Jimmy Jones at #8. Chubby Checker #10.

1961 The biggest selling record of the year: Bobby Lewis at #1, Chubby Checker #7, Dee Clark # 9, The Shirelles #14, The Shirelles #16, Ray Charles #19.

1962 Biggest selling singer of the year : Ray Charles, #3 Dee Dee Sharp, #7 Little Eva, #8 The Sensations, #9 Chubby Checker, #10 The Shirelles, #13 Gene Chandler, #17 Chubby Checker & DeeDee Sharp, #19 Mary Wells.

In other words, in 1962, SIX black artists had the top 10 best selling records in the country. NINE black artists had the best selling records in the top 20.

Who were these black performers...all with outstanding success...being marketed to?

by Anonymousreply 107August 19, 2025 1:39 AM

Why is it so hard for people to acknowledge that you can despise the Republican Party and the current state of politics and also believe Joy Reid is a racist, homophobic bitch?

Both things can be true. Only a simpleton would have trouble with this uncomplicated concept.

by Anonymousreply 108August 19, 2025 1:40 AM

Elvis definitely had privelege unattainable for blacks singers during the era but he was the real. That redneck had soul. Didn’t no white man have no soul in the 50s except Elvis. He didn’t culturally appropriate, he culturally incorporated, always paying homage to black musicians. Elvis kinda looked black too to me. I bet one of his grandparents was black.

I’m so incredibly sick and over American black people and their nonstop, never ending race obsession, victim pandering and racist hate for whites and Asians. As a group they’re never going to stop until there’s an all out race war. So, let it be done and let it all finally play out and be over with

by Anonymousreply 111August 19, 2025 1:51 AM

For starters, listen to Johnny Ray - "Cry" - 1952.

This woman has more Grammys than anyone in history. So it's time for Joy Reid to drop her perpetual black victimhood act.

Nate King Cole had the #2 best selling record for the year 1950.

In 1951 he had the #1best selling record of the year.

1953: #13 best selling record.

1954: #7 The Four Knights and at #18 Nat King Cole

1955: Nate King Cole #20.

This is all before Elvis. How did they do it?

by Anonymousreply 116August 19, 2025 2:09 AM

Elvis was hot and could really sing. What's wrong with that Joy?

by Anonymousreply 117August 19, 2025 2:48 AM

All artists borrow or imitate; all great artists steal. “So let it be with Elvis.”

by Anonymousreply 118August 19, 2025 2:54 AM

I think this talentless, racist cunt just tries getting her name in the headlines to try countering her ever increasing irrelevancy.

by Anonymousreply 119August 19, 2025 3:03 AM

Joy, white men invented unemployment benefits. You’re welcome.

by Anonymousreply 120August 19, 2025 3:36 AM

Justice for Jussie!

by Anonymousreply 121August 19, 2025 3:41 AM

I’m furious at the cultural appropriation perpetuated by black musicians who play musical instruments invented by white men. Piano, bass, saxophones, and trumpets are a proud part of white culture.

by Anonymousreply 122August 19, 2025 3:44 AM

Congrats, you took the bait. She's an unemployed, shit-stirring racist who needs the clicks. Don't give her the time of day.

by Anonymousreply 124August 19, 2025 3:57 AM

I get trying to give credit to people forgotten by time, but music in general is an evolving animal. Musicians are usually better than the rest of humans for transcending divisions. .

Many favorite hits sung by Black artists in the 50s-80s were written by Jewish songwriters: Unforgettable, Say a Little Prayer, Killing Me Softly, River Deep Mountain High, You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman, Saving all my Love for You, Up on the Roof, All Along the Watchtower, The Theme from Mahogany, etc.

Lieber & Stoller wrote Yakety Yak & Poison Ivy performed by the Coasters as well as King Creole & Jailhouse Rock for Elvis.

Gladys Knight’s Midnight Train to Georgia and Neither One of Us were written by a southern white dude, Jim Weatherly. Rihanna & Beyonce sing songs by Sia.

Early Brit rockers went to art school and loved the blues but created rock.

Tracy Chapman said she watched Heehaw as a kid and that made her want a guitar. She appreciated when a country dude recorded Fast Car, and performed it with him. Meanwhile liberal Twitter was going batshit decrying the nerve of that white man.

What we really need is to find out if Joy Reid believes that Janet Jackson is the Queeeeeeen of Pop!

by Anonymousreply 125August 19, 2025 4:18 AM

Even MSNBC has a poor record with its DEI hires!

Dylan Farrow, Melitha Harrith Perry, Mehdi Hassan, that huge obese woman who's still there...others. ALL hired to check boxes, and we see how all worked out!

by Anonymousreply 126August 19, 2025 4:18 AM

Reid is a race baiter par excellence going way back, I just said to myself "of course" when I saw this thread.

That and those busted wigs is all she has, she's wholly talentless otherwise.

R126, they've changed their name. It's now MS NOW. But take heart, they most assuredly will continue their tradition of lousy hires, race be damned.

Professional victim

by Anonymousreply 131August 19, 2025 5:18 AM

RONAN!

by Anonymousreply 133August 19, 2025 6:58 AM

I can't stand Donald Trump, Jeffery Epstein or Joy Reid. They're all terrible people for different reasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with race, ethnicity or religion. Trump and his cronies are the most harmful to the most people simply because of his position as POTUS. Joy Reid is harmful because she has/had a public platform, but not as evil as Epstein or harmful as Trump. I still say good riddance from MSNBC.

by Anonymousreply 134August 19, 2025 7:52 AM

And what has she invented except lies?

by Anonymousreply 135August 19, 2025 7:53 AM

Joy Reid is damn lucky she kept her job for SIX YEARS after her homophobic posts and ridiculous lies excusing them came out.

MSNBC's cash-minting dyke Rachel Maddow came to her rescue.

The whole thing obscured the fact that black people are massively homophobic. Gays extend our hands in camraderie, and they'd rather see us dead.

The stupidity is astounding. "The percussive, rhythmic sound " ....drums and clapping....does not produce melody. Rock&Roll DID indeed descend from Dead European White Males playing on their piano, violin, horn, flute, harp, bassoon, oboe, clarinet and trumpet.

The whole point of culture is that it's not "owned." It circulates.

Marion Anderson and Leontyne Price sang opera; Elvis sang the blues and rock and roll.

White guilt, virtue-signaling. The Left always trying to out woke one another. Pretending to understand the plight of minority groups. That’s why they also hired that racist antisemitic, homophobic grifter Al Sharpton too.

by Anonymousreply 153August 19, 2025 3:58 PM

Elvis was Melungeon. So black, like Dinah Shore and Heather Locklear.
