Was there ever a movie made about these serial killers?

WTF???! Have never heard of this. With so many boys missing, why weren't they caught sooner? Any Texans here remember this? I was old enough to read newspapers and watch TV news in the early 1970s and never heard about this in California, not that we didn't have our own serial killers in the news. Still can't believe that my divorced parents allowed me to ride a bus long distances (Oakland-LA) while traveling alone starting at age 9 in those days to visit my father. Those bus trips ended when one I was on was hijacked.

I bet the director of Snowtown and Nitram could make a really ugly, sweaty movie about those serial killers.
