MSNBC IS DEAD TO ME

It’s MS NOW, biatch

by Anonymousreply 99August 19, 2025 4:13 PM

End of an era.

by Anonymousreply 1August 18, 2025 1:43 PM

The typography/design looks amateurish. Horrible actually.

by Anonymousreply 2August 18, 2025 1:46 PM

The Multiple Sclerosis channel?

by Anonymousreply 3August 18, 2025 1:46 PM

At least it's not the Ms. Magazine Channel.

by Anonymousreply 4August 18, 2025 1:47 PM

There keeping the Microsoft part? Weird.

by Anonymousreply 5August 18, 2025 1:47 PM

Considering that the "MS" part originally stood for Microsoft, I wonder if people will think that Microsoft took it over from NBC.

What's going to happen to MSN?

by Anonymousreply 6August 18, 2025 1:48 PM

I always thought Ms NBC sounded like TV news for women.

by Anonymousreply 7August 18, 2025 1:51 PM

MyShourshe

by Anonymousreply 8August 18, 2025 1:57 PM

Countdown to lumpy calling it the MS-13 network.

by Anonymousreply 9August 18, 2025 2:00 PM

r7 It does, hence its appeal to DLers. I recall how glued they were to Maddow's shows during Trump's first term, it was almost a religious experience. All that wasted time and it did fuck all in the end.

by Anonymousreply 10August 18, 2025 2:02 PM

Like trying to polish a huge, smelly turd.

by Anonymousreply 11August 18, 2025 2:21 PM

I can’t get over that terrible logo. Looks like something I would have designed in Print Shop Deluxe circa 1992.

by Anonymousreply 12August 18, 2025 2:30 PM

I don't want to kick anyone when they're down but MSNBC before Trump 2 was 24/7 preaching to the choir. It rarely presented information that explained the US as it truly is. Maddow was the worst. So full of herself and full of breathless important information that was just nothing.

by Anonymousreply 13August 18, 2025 2:37 PM

r13 Every show was like, "We got him now for sure!"

Selling hope to the hopeless, deplorable journalism.

by Anonymousreply 14August 18, 2025 2:45 PM
Joe Scarborough's left nut

Mika crushed that ages ago….

by Anonymousreply 15August 18, 2025 2:48 PM

"We got him now for sure!"

They started saying that shit back in January, 2017, shortly after Trump took office. "He'll never last 6 days, 6 weeks, 6 months, take your pick."

I can't believe how many people like Jason Alexander, Maya Wiley, Joyce Vance, and so many others kept saying he's dead meat. Yet here we are,8 years later, and Trump is still going strong. How can these expert "prognosticators" show their faces in public when they were so clearly wrong on so many different occasions?

by Anonymousreply 16August 18, 2025 3:05 PM

Mississippi NOW. Elise Jordan and friends all day long.

by Anonymousreply 17August 18, 2025 3:10 PM
There keeping the Microsoft part? Weird.

It appears that MS now stands for My Source.

by Anonymousreply 18August 18, 2025 3:17 PM

Named for MY preferred address.

by Anonymousreply 19August 18, 2025 3:22 PM

MS Now sounds like a disease!

by Anonymousreply 20August 18, 2025 3:22 PM

You rang?

by Anonymousreply 21August 18, 2025 3:26 PM

Such a fall from the glory days, around 2012. I know some disliked him, but I miss when the network had voices like Chris Matthews.

by Anonymousreply 22August 18, 2025 3:27 PM

Ms. NOW

by Anonymousreply 23August 18, 2025 3:33 PM

R16 MAGA prick...did you cum yet?

by Anonymousreply 24August 18, 2025 3:45 PM

Oh shut up, r24. We cannot criticize at all anymore? And R16 has a good point. MSNBC was always good making the left feel better. But more like a quick sugar rush, not like a healthy diet.

by Anonymousreply 25August 18, 2025 3:51 PM

The only thing on MSNBC (or whatever) I still watch is O'Donnell, and him only infrequently.

And this is coming from a lesbian who would die to sleep with Rachel!

Nope, Rachel says one thing and repeats variations of it for an hour. O'Donnell is the same way, only less obvious.

Bah.

by Anonymousreply 26August 18, 2025 3:56 PM

Multiple sclerosis now!!

by Anonymousreply 27August 18, 2025 3:57 PM
I don't want to kick anyone when they're down but MSNBC before Trump 2 was 24/7 preaching to the choir.

And now it’s not?

by Anonymousreply 28August 18, 2025 4:07 PM

Unfortunately, the "PMSNBC" joke will no longer apply.

by Anonymousreply 29August 18, 2025 4:08 PM

Ms. Now sounds woke.

by Anonymousreply 30August 18, 2025 4:09 PM

The “It’s MS!” jokes are incoming.

by Anonymousreply 31August 18, 2025 4:10 PM

“M Snowflakes”

Great…

by Anonymousreply 32August 18, 2025 4:11 PM

They obviously came up with "MS NOW," and then had to work backwards to figure out what each letter could stand for. "News" and "Opinion" for the "N" and the "O" make sense, but "World" for the "W" feels out of place, especially since they mostly cover D.C. politics and very little international news, unless it's a crisis (and they'll probably have even less international news once they lose access to NBC's foreign correspondents).

by Anonymousreply 33August 18, 2025 4:11 PM

Ms. Now if you’re nasty!

by Anonymousreply 34August 18, 2025 4:15 PM

R16, you’d think smart people would figure out after a few years of “we got Trump this time” it was all bs. Lots of magical thinking and denial of reality.

by Anonymousreply 35August 18, 2025 4:36 PM
I miss when the network had voices like Chris Matthews.

At least we still have Ari and his raps.

by Anonymousreply 36August 18, 2025 4:47 PM

I am assuming that NBCUniveral employees either got their cable free or deeply discounted as a perk, now they are going to have to pay for cable if they want to watch their own channel MSNOW.

Will CNBC be changing their name also, since they are part of this new Versant?

by Anonymousreply 37August 18, 2025 4:58 PM
In a separate memo, Lazarus wrote that CNBC would be retaining its name, noting that it stands for Consumer News and Business Channel

Guess if I had read further I could have answered my own question about CBNC.

by Anonymousreply 38August 18, 2025 5:00 PM

I stopped watching all news shows when Elon + Turd stole the election. I used to watch the Sunday morning shows, Maddow, Ari... No more, not interested.

by Anonymousreply 39August 18, 2025 5:01 PM
Ms. Now.

IT’S MA’AM!!

by Anonymousreply 40August 18, 2025 5:06 PM

They should have made it MSN.

by Anonymousreply 41August 18, 2025 5:07 PM

R6, the kids now in charge who came up with the new name do not know that MS originally stood for Microsoft.

by Anonymousreply 42August 18, 2025 5:29 PM

R26, Larry O’Donnell hardly shows up for work anymore. He and Scarborough, who takes way too many days off, should be let go.

by Anonymousreply 43August 18, 2025 5:32 PM
He and Scarborough, who takes way too many days off, should be let go.

Hold my beer!

by Anonymousreply 44August 18, 2025 5:44 PM

Let's all raise our juice boxes to Steve Kornacki's khaki bulge.

by Anonymousreply 45August 18, 2025 8:07 PM

I would love it if they got rid of Chris Hayes at 8, along with O’Donnell and Scarborough. This place needs a new cast of characters!

by Anonymousreply 46August 18, 2025 8:18 PM

MS Contin. NOW.

by Anonymousreply 47August 18, 2025 8:20 PM

Don Lemon has been a frequent guest on MSNBC lately. I think they're auditioning him for his own show.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 48August 18, 2025 8:38 PM

Sounds like a disease. 🦠 Just because their shows were ineffective does not mean that they weren’t right. You people are ridiculous. You really want more FOX or CNN?! I am more learned from the folks at MSNBC despite being in the minority.

by Anonymousreply 49August 18, 2025 8:51 PM

With your new host, Christina Applegate!

by Anonymousreply 50August 18, 2025 8:53 PM

MSNBC hasn’t featured Miss Lindsey on their evening and Sunday shows, while other networks clamor to host Miss Lindsey.

Book her when she’s drunk, and MSNBC ratings may skyrocket.

by Anonymousreply 51August 18, 2025 9:14 PM

R50 You're terribuhl, Muriel.

by Anonymousreply 52August 18, 2025 9:15 PM
You really want more FOX or CNN?

Actually I would want a PBS News channel.

by Anonymousreply 53August 18, 2025 9:53 PM
I am more learned from the folks at MSNBC despite being in the minority.

Um...

by Anonymousreply 54August 18, 2025 9:58 PM

Lady Lindz is a frequent guest on Meet the Press, hosted by that vacant lump Kristin Welker R51. I'm sure the Lady even has her own liquor cart at the NBC studios.

by Anonymousreply 55August 18, 2025 10:07 PM

R54 Yes, dear, "learned" is a real word.

learn·ed /ˈlərnəd/ adjective (of a person) having much knowledge acquired by study.

by Anonymousreply 56August 18, 2025 10:07 PM

Missed Opportunity...[bold] MS MEOW [/bold] would have brought in new viewers.

by Anonymousreply 57August 18, 2025 10:08 PM

Bring back Thomas Roberts...in a speedo!

by Anonymousreply 58August 18, 2025 10:10 PM

Who gets custody of Willie Geist?

by Anonymousreply 59August 18, 2025 10:22 PM

Glad to see they're going to be giving OPINON. For decades conned viewers into thinking their Opinion were facts, When Comcast finally sells the network, to save multi-millions Miss Maddow should be "separated from the payroll."

by Anonymousreply 60August 18, 2025 10:31 PM

Has FOX started calling them [bold] MS NEVER [/bold] yet? Wait for it...

by Anonymousreply 61August 18, 2025 10:32 PM

Nine - imagine that.

by Anonymousreply 62August 18, 2025 10:46 PM
Let's all raise our juice boxes to Steve Kornacki's lack of khaki bulge.

by Anonymousreply 63August 18, 2025 10:54 PM

Word is that they don’t expect the network to survive. It’s sad last days.

by Anonymousreply 64August 18, 2025 10:55 PM

The logo looks like local access channels that deplorables get their “news” from.

by Anonymousreply 65August 18, 2025 10:56 PM

I will enjoy seeing pompous ass Scarborough and his side piece Mika go away.

by Anonymousreply 66August 18, 2025 11:25 PM

I'm MS-ing you NOW so I don't have to MS you THEN.

by Anonymousreply 67August 18, 2025 11:31 PM

Mssssssss msssssss 🐍

by Anonymousreply 68August 18, 2025 11:54 PM

"My Source News Opinion World" is terrible. Should have just not explained the letters.

by Anonymousreply 69August 19, 2025 12:09 AM

Liberal MSNBC: SAD LAST DAYS

by Anonymousreply 70August 19, 2025 12:12 AM

Even News Nation is laughing at the new logo and name change.

by Anonymousreply 71August 19, 2025 12:30 AM

Do they actually have a significant number of their own correspondents and reporters, not working for (C)NBC News at all?

by Anonymousreply 72August 19, 2025 12:36 AM

Positively dreadful.

by Anonymousreply 73August 19, 2025 12:37 AM

R69, I agree — I don’t know why they felt it necessary to explain the letters. MS NOW would have been sufficient.

by Anonymousreply 74August 19, 2025 1:02 AM

I bet eventually they will lose the space and it will become MSNOW instead of MS NOW.

by Anonymousreply 75August 19, 2025 1:05 AM

MS NOW, the new feminine hygiene product from the people who brought you Secret Deodorant. MS NOW rather than MS LATER!

by Anonymousreply 76August 19, 2025 1:07 AM

What in the 1997 Netscape search engine hell?

by Anonymousreply 77August 19, 2025 1:14 AM

It's puzzling that they didn't even secure the URL for MSNOW.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 78August 19, 2025 1:21 AM

All the hosts on Ms. Now will be trans or black or neutered men.

by Anonymousreply 79August 19, 2025 1:25 AM
MS NOW, the new feminine hygiene product from the people who brought you Secret Deodorant. MS NOW rather than MS LATER!

When will it be available?

by Anonymousreply 80August 19, 2025 1:41 AM

R79 Fuck around and find out.

by Anonymousreply 81August 19, 2025 1:46 AM

I hope they hire Don Lemon. We need his brilliance and candor back on television.

by Anonymousreply 82August 19, 2025 1:47 AM
"My Source News Opinion World" is terrible.

This sounds like something Meghan Markle came up with.

by Anonymousreply 83August 19, 2025 2:13 AM

R79 That’s “Miz” Now to you!

by Anonymousreply 84August 19, 2025 2:33 AM

To boost ratings, they are going to start airing Phil Donohue reruns .

by Anonymousreply 85August 19, 2025 2:46 AM

Surely NewsNation has beaten them in the ratings by now.

by Anonymousreply 86August 19, 2025 2:52 AM

Bring back Charles Grodin.

I think they should give Rosie O’Donnell her own talk show at 10pm. A mix of politics and entertainment

by Anonymousreply 87August 19, 2025 4:20 AM

A potential new show on Sunday's could be "Miss Lindsey and Friends '. In addition to verbally attacking anyone who isn't MAGA. She could also share beauty/style tips. How to get your teeth that perfect shade of yellow/green. And how to make it look like you've only slept in your clothes for 1 night instead of 5.

by Anonymousreply 88August 19, 2025 5:25 AM

CNBC will become the Shark Tank Channel. They don't seem to show anything else in primetime.

by Anonymousreply 89August 19, 2025 6:06 AM

Bring back KEITH OLBERMAN! Is he still alive and functioning?

by Anonymousreply 90August 19, 2025 1:00 PM
Bring back KEITH OLBERMAN!

NO DON’T!

by Anonymousreply 91August 19, 2025 1:18 PM

Don’t worry, Katy. Olberbann will be in prime time and you will keep that 2PM slot when nobody’s watching.

by Anonymousreply 92August 19, 2025 1:26 PM

i still can't get over the font. i don't know anything about graphic design or typography but i know this looks wrong and completely unprofessional. i can't put my finger on why. it feels like the design of a small restaurant in a ghetto that launders money. or a graphic in a cheap spam email. even the blue color gradient behind it looks bad. the gradient is like someone is shining a flashlight right in the center of it and it's too dark blue on the edges. did a professional graphic designer even make this? i swear to god i can do a better job from a preset on canva.

by Anonymousreply 93August 19, 2025 1:44 PM

The logo and rebranding does seem to be amateurish.

On the other hand, they've scored by grabbing Carol Leoning, Jackie Alemany, Jacob Soboroff, and Vaughn Hillyard.

by Anonymousreply 94August 19, 2025 2:46 PM

What’s going to happen with all the NBC reporters and NBC news segments they regularly show now? A whole new force? That won’t be as good and will cost a fucking fortune.

by Anonymousreply 95August 19, 2025 3:19 PM

Maybe they will just do commentary with their favorite reporters and friends.

by Anonymousreply 96August 19, 2025 3:23 PM

I only watch Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell, on MSNBC now. I’ve lost all respect for Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

by Anonymousreply 97August 19, 2025 3:30 PM

They once had respect?

by Anonymousreply 98August 19, 2025 3:46 PM

Did they even TRY at rebranding?

by Anonymousreply 99August 19, 2025 4:13 PM
