She voted for the second gulf war despite representing a state that would never have punished her for opposing it. Her national political viability mattered more than being right. It was nice to see her lose the democratic nomination to a candidate who who opposed the war. She’s always been a technocrat with limited experience and questionable judgment.

Such a shame that Bill didn’t have enough pragmatism to stay away from Oval Office blow-jobs, men of highly questionable moral character, & whores.

by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 18, 2025 6:16 AM |
First of all Hill looks stunning. I’m mixed about this. Bill’s relations with those girls is all speculation at this point. I believe there to be numerous powerful guys who went there to have sex with teenage girls. But until we see the list, we will never truly know. I hate to tarnish someone’s legacy with something o serious like pedophilia from mere speculation. A mentally ill woman accused Jay-Z of raping her with the most absurd story that if you actually listen to her details you would have likely conclude this shit was fradulent. And then a month later she admitted she lied. People on DL painted him guilty when NBC News first broke the story. Yall weren’t playing no games lol. Of course black rapper— GUILTY.
She may be genuine; I just don’t see how Trump has had any positive effect on foreign in any capacity. But I’m not as knowledgeable as Hill, and was never Secretary of State. Either way I don’t blame her. Bill is the love of her life. She is going to do what she needs to do to protect that man-her husband, the father of her child.

Both of the Clintons are tremendous liabilities to the Democratic Party and need to be cast off from it immediately and forever.
Bad enough Bill couldn't keep his dick in his pants his entire life, but they're both responsible for MAGA. They both actively campaigned for NAFTA, knowing full well it would destroy what was left of manufacturing in this country. But they desperately wanted that big Wall Street money so they worked tirelessly to see NAFTA through. They're now multi-millionaires, while places like Youngstown, Ohio, Wheeling, WV and numerous other places in the Rust Belt have been completely destroyed.
And then they and other Democrats, wonder why once reliably blue states like OH and WV are now solidly red.

But what is your solution? The Clintons should have opposed sensible policy based on the speculation that a bunch of ignorant people would establish a backlash against it?
First of all, I would not be at all confident that Trump wouldn't have won without NAFTA; (The Republic Party remained sensibly free trade for decades after NAFTA's enactment.) Second, what good does it do if Democrats enact Republican policies themselves just to avoid a reaction? I'm very glad Clinton didn't enact stupid republican policies just out of fear of a backlash

by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 18, 2025 2:55 PM |
Is this even real? I google the headline and all I get is stories from 2016 and one mention of the statement she made last week saying that should Trump manage to end the war in Ukraine with Ukraine being maintained with its pre-war boundaries and Zelenskyy in charge — essentially, the Ukrainian goals of the war — she would nominate Trump for the Nobel herself, knowing that this outcome has about a 1 in a billion chance of happening (and if it actually did happen, she probably would make good on her word).
Somehow, given the source, not to mention the claim, unless someone can point me to a credible news source I'm assuming that this is fake news designed to elicit the exact responses we're seeing here. And never mind the fact that Bill Clinton has said, for years, to release the Epstein files [italic]in full.[/italic] Would a man with his background be willing to say, on the record, that the files should be released if he were shown to have participated in the Epstein/Trump/GOP pedo ring? I suppose this is more of the Clinton double-jujitsu you all claim they surgically wield.

Except 2008 wasn't her time either. Obama was running in that year and vastly outclassed her. Thank god, he won. No. Nothing in my post suggested that. It's futile since I know from experience that a certain level of intellect here perceives any comment on the shortcomings of a Democratic politician as a raving Trump endorsement, but my original post literally said that I would have voted for her a thousand times over Trump despite her mediocrity. That then generates two replies informing me that Trump was much worse than Clinton. There's really only so much one can do to counter stupidity.

Melania Trump is not running for President and is not eligible to run for president by virtue of her foreign birth. If she could run for president, I would find it absurd and objectionable.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | August 18, 2025 7:11 PM |
Well, r82, why did you expect her to deal with health reform as First Lady? She tried even though it wasn't her place and then got lambasted for it "not being her place".
by Anonymous | reply 83 | August 18, 2025 7:17 PM |
I did not expect her to and did not want her to. It's not her place as the relative of a president. But, let's set that aside, and say it was perfectly fine for her to take that on. Are we then not allowed to judge her based on the result? Essentially, you're saying she did something she arguably shouldn't have been doing and failed at it so let's give her the presidency as a participation award because she tried.
