Can we revisit David Gordon Green's abysmal "Halloween" trilogy?

AKA: The Jamie Lee Curtis "trowma" trilogy. I saw the first one when it was released in 2018 and thought it was okay, but passed on the two followups. With September approaching, I figured I'd finally get around to watching the sequels. I finally watched "Halloween Kills" this morning and could not believe how bad it is. The closing credits song had me laughing out loud. I don't know if I even want to hate watch "Halloween Ends" after that hot mess.

The only good part of Halloween Kills, and it's amazing that I say this, was Kyle Richards.

Her character was the only one who didn't act like a completely clueless screaming Mimi when Michael Myers attacked her. She fought back and landed a couple of good blows to his head before successfully escaping his clutches.

I enjoyed it, especially the first one.

Lifelong Halloween fan here. Halloween Ends at least has some interesting ideas, and after how INCOMPETENT Kills was, I enjoyed it enough. Entire trilogy has pacing and tonal issues (like that whole banh mi bullshit in the middle of the climax) and as a whole takes itself way too seriously. Not unlike me when I talk about it.

R2 Seconded re: Kyle Richards. Genuinely good scene and performance.

I don't ever want to see Anthony Michael Hall in anything ever again. Yucky poo.
