Listening to more than their “Greatest Hits”
Admittedly, as singers are past their sell-by dates, I listen just to their greatest hits. There are a few for whom I still listen to their full albums—Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, George Michael are some examples.
Name singers for whom you still listen to their full albums instead of just their greatest hits.

Kate Bush. Some of her best songs weren’t singles.

Linda Ronstadt. Except for “Long, Long Time,” her hits are the least interesting part of her work Start with her first album on Asylum Records, Don’t Cry Now.

R10, I ALWAYS fall asleep trying to listen to Nora Jones albums.
She’s not called “Snora Jones” for nothing

Tina Turner, and especially her Private Dancer album. It's one of those albums on which I never skip a track.

With rare exception, why does anyone listen to full albums?
The very concept of an album is dead, and it was in my long lifetime always the exception that an album was a brilliant start to finish expression of a complete idea. In the case of a Van Morrison or a Joni Mitchell or others who could express a full concept start to finish and free of shitty filler, fantastic. But even then, do you always want to listen start to finish to every song in the presented order? I don't. The point of having much is to have it at the ready to hear it when you want shuffled as you like among artists, genres, time periods, etc. Once you've sat in a room smoking weed and listening to a full album start to finish and then marvelling with your too high friends about the brilliance and what it all means...I don't especially want to repeat that on a tape loop for the rest of my life.
There are painters whose work i find cloying or mediocre or it simply falls short, but they have one aelf-portrait that's astounding and you could look at it every day for the rest of your life. For me it's about choice of the viewer or listener, not buying the whole package as presented without argument.
