DL true crime snoops: are you following the story of Baby Emmanuel?
This mom of six says she was at an older child's ball game when she went to a sporting goods store to get something, and, as one does, took her developmentally disabled 5-month-old with her instead of leaving him with the baby daddy.
She parked at the far edge of the parking lot, again as one does, and decided to change his diaper when somebody hit her over the head! When she woke up, Baby Emmanuel was GONE and she had a black eye!
The acting at their press conference made Edith Massey look like Helen Mirren — Mom did the "no tears but I'm crying" thing while clutching a Bible while baby daddy and friends laid hands on her.
The black eye was obviously old and the cops had more questions, and suddenly neither of Baby Emmanuel's parents are cooperating with the police.

Even if untrue, it's the only part of the story that makes sense, r10. Would you leave a disabled infant with a man who has a prior conviction of child cruelty on one of your kids? You'd take the most vulnerable one with you.

Yup, saw it today on FB feed. I watched her interview and goddamn that was the worst acting ever. The father was actually no better.
These two offed the child (who looked disabled), and the reason why they said they can't rule out foul play as of yet is because they told the mother there were some big inconsistencies in her story, and she shut down and refused to talk to them anymore.
I wonder if they'll find this kid's remains and whether the parents really thought this through or if it was an accidental death when they were abusing the child and they thought they could "wing it" and try to get away with hiding the body and blaming a kidnapper. Notice there's no demand from the "kidnapper" as of yet.
I think the whole thing stinks. It smells. It smells bad.
