JD Vance turned away from British pub after staff threatens mutiny
Vice President JD Vance was reportedly turned away by a popular British pub after staffers threatened not to show up for work if the restaurant booked his reservation.
Some residents of the Oxfordshire hamlet have become upset by Vance choosing their south-central England region to spend some downtime. Local media outlet the Oxford Clarion posted photos of signs in locals’ lawns protesting the vice president.
“Fascists not welcome here,” read one of those signs, while another simply told Vance to “go home.”

The Oxford Mail reported in late July that former Vice President Kamala Harris had just visited The Bull and at least one other establishment in the area without incident. But locals told the BBC that Vance’s visit complicated everyday life for some.
“I don’t think the locals are too happy about the roads being closed,” one area resident said.
Vance ran into a similar issue last September when he and his entourage were met with resistance at a Pennsylvania restaurant that said it wasn’t expecting his visit and the hoopla it brought just weeks before the election.
The eatery later put out a statement claiming the politician from Ohio was not “banned” but in fact allowed to engage with supporters at the Pittsburgh-area business after staff resolved the “momentary confusion.”

After the incident, JD demanded all of the staff be deported.

The UK still remembers what their parents and grandparents had sacrificed to defeat fascism during WWII. Refusing to accept obvious fascists visiting their town is common sense.

Uh, they work in a pub. They fetch food and pour drinks for people.

Good for them.
That fascist cunt needs to be shunned EVERYWHERE he shows his fat, fugly face

Thing is regarding Jaydene, as the mascaraman seems to be known ... who knows?
My bet is that the minute his oath is taken he rejects the most politically unpopular aspects of Trumpism. I'm not, however, naive enough to ignore his self-loathing homophobia.

R8. Wow what a snob you are! Who are you, huh? A member of a royal family, a countries leader?

R4/R8's take on a different thread:
[quote] They are probably preparing for the coming multi-city Al Qaeda attack, which is suspected to occur this year. The Biden Administration's open borders policy allowed at least 8,000 jihadis into the country.
That child is slow. Or was left behind.

R4/R8 wants to be DPed by Trump and Jaydene.

No, R10. Waiting tables got me through grad school. Who really cares what these food fetchers think? No matter what valid negative things one can say about JD, he came from nothing ended up in an Ivy League school and the VP of the US. I don't care what these pub workers have to say about him.

Well, R13, who won that battle - the Ivy Leaguer or a bunch of ignorant "food fetchers"?

R14, you call that a battle? It was just batting a few meaningless nats.

R13, you can take the boy out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the boy.
Based on the current crop of dirtball scumbags like JD on the US political scene with Ivy League bsckgrounds, being an Ivy Leaguer is hardly some great accomplishment.
JD is trailer park trash with an Ivy League degree. BFD. He's still an asshole and always will be an opportunistic, blood sucking asshole.

Can people please start giving trigger warnings before posting photos of Vance?

R13 JD sold his soul and sold his country out for power. The fact that you discount or ignore that important fact and denigrate regular working class people's opinion simply means you are an asshole.

I see that Peter Thiel has discovered Datalounge. Or Jaydine him(?)self.
He's an insecure, perennially uncool, sexually confused fat guy who has spent all his life trying hard to keep up with the cool and the wealthy in order to find some self validation.

Good for the Brits!
They should have tarred and feathered JD Vance and left him in the street to be runover by all the cars and horses in the village.

Could you be more of a superficial status whore, r13? I'd rather hangout with a minimum wage pub employee who is nice and decent over some fucking creep who tells bald-faced lies about immigrants and thinks women are nothing more than brood sows. Who gives a fuck where he went to school? The man is dog shit.

And R13, JD being VP of the US is more about the stupidity, racism, xenophobia, homophobia and every other phobia of the 77 million American idiots who voted for JD and his habitual liar, convicted felon, sexual predator, child rapist, cin artist/grifter running mate.

As much as we despise JD, he will be this country's POTUS within the next two years. I really can't see Dump lasting too much longer, (either by death or resign for health issues).

Maybe JD was told this particular pub had a private room with a cushy couch available to hump?

Vance's people are saying that the pub was only one of the possibilities for lunch and he decided to go somewhere else. The supposed action of the staff had nothing to do with the decision.
At least with Trump, you can be sure that McDonald's would be the only choice, since his sophisticated palate considers the quarter pounder to be haute cuisine.

Probably a lot of stress eating in the hotel room and yelling at the little brown ones.

Cute, but it’s not like Britain doesn’t have a healthy population of far right agitators themselves.
But I get that doesn’t mean that they want to roll out the welcome mat for some other country’s fashy politician.

The funny thing is, my partner and I spent a few days in the Cotswolds in May and a lot of houses in the town we were staying in had the Reform Party signs. I guess, as R30 pointed out, they don't need to import fascists from elsewhere.
