JD Vance turned away from British pub after staff threatens mutiny

The Oxford Mail reported in late July that former Vice President Kamala Harris had just visited The Bull and at least one other establishment in the area without incident. But locals told the BBC that Vance’s visit complicated everyday life for some.

“I don’t think the locals are too happy about the roads being closed,” one area resident said.

Vance ran into a similar issue last September when he and his entourage were met with resistance at a Pennsylvania restaurant that said it wasn’t expecting his visit and the hoopla it brought just weeks before the election.

The eatery later put out a statement claiming the politician from Ohio was not “banned” but in fact allowed to engage with supporters at the Pittsburgh-area business after staff resolved the “momentary confusion.”

After the incident, JD demanded all of the staff be deported.

The UK still remembers what their parents and grandparents had sacrificed to defeat fascism during WWII. Refusing to accept obvious fascists visiting their town is common sense.

Uh, they work in a pub. They fetch food and pour drinks for people.

Vance's people are saying that the pub was only one of the possibilities for lunch and he decided to go somewhere else. The supposed action of the staff had nothing to do with the decision.

At least with Trump, you can be sure that McDonald's would be the only choice, since his sophisticated palate considers the quarter pounder to be haute cuisine.
