Only a middle brow cunt would make such a thread.

I think that, by definition, Dataloungers are all high-I.Q. types, n'est-ce pas?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 14, 2025 4:21 AM |
I don't understand the question.

I’s dumb.

You tell me. Verbal IQ 130, Performance 95.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 14, 2025 4:27 AM |
No. But I am below average ambition.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 14, 2025 4:41 AM |
No. My intelligence is one of the few things I've never questioned about myself.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 14, 2025 4:43 AM |
I am below average in emotional intelligence for sure.

OP this forum is populated with rampant Dunning Kruger - good luck getting any honest responses.

IQ 153. Verging on Sharon Stone territory.
That being said, IQ is largely bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 14, 2025 6:31 AM |
I'm intelligent but I'm also lazy and dysfunctional.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 14, 2025 6:43 AM |
I like blue.

It's a truism that 90% of people consider themselves to be above average in intelligence. How this squares with the bell curve of mental acuity is one of life's great mysteries. Perhaps many of us here on DL are deluding ourselves.
Judging by the wittiness exhibited in many threads, I'd have to rate my fellow DLers high in verbal ability. But whether that equips most of us to march up to the blackboard and explain the physical equations underlying rocket science or quantum mechanics, I cannot say.

I took the GMAT and LSAT exams the same month over thirty-five years ago and scored 99th percentile on both, but now I feel like only a shadow of what I was. I believe I'm still above average in some respects, but I'm nowhere near what I used to be. I try not to dwell on the loss, which I assume is from old age, or maybe too many poppers.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 14, 2025 7:06 AM |
No, but I consider you to be.

Brass tacks, DL has plenty of low average bitches. Retired acid-tongued shop bottoms and back-office battle-axes are rarely celebrated brainiacs.

I've told this tale to DL before. In 8th grade, Mrs Lindholm decided to read the results of an IQ Test to the class. My brother was in the same class as me, since I had skipped a grade. Mrs Lindholm read the IQ results from the top, and announced she would stop at '100', and that students whose results below 100 could see her after class for their results. I tested the 2nd highest in the class. My brother tested at exactly 100. I love my brother very much, and I'll never forgive Mrs Lindholm for what she did to us.

I had a Science teacher who was bantering with the class one day, and he mentioned that the student with the highest IQ in our small flyover h.s. had gotten D's and Fs on their last report card.
15-yr. old me was getting Ds and Fs because I'd been plotting to run away for some time- and I thought it would be pointless to worry about grades since I'd be gone soon. And my Guidance Counselor had told me my IQ was 119, so I didn't think it was me.
I sure hope the entire school didn't test 118 or below!

A sign of low intelligence is hating intelligent and educated people which is celebrated in the present time. I am really dumb when it comes to emotions. I don’t read other people’s emotions well. The video shared is good.

R5, I'm like you. Higher verbal vs lower math/performance abilities. The skill disparity greatly affected my choice of college/academic fields of study and, later, occupation. I've done okay, but I envy those who were able to go into medicine, engineering, and accounting.

Tickets range from $147 to $620?
In a theatre with 2807 seats?

Not showing off my superior attention to detail at R22.

Me smrt.

No, I always scored high on aptitude tests, get praised for my insight and innovative ideas in work situations, and routinely feel like I am surrounded by morons in public.

I am dyspraxic with verbal apraxia (treated thank goodness) which is its own special brand of hell. People would condole my mother on having a retarded child when I was a toddler.
R19 one of my brothers is dyslexic and had trouble learning to read. His IQ scores would come back in the 140s and the teachers would assure my parents that it was a mistake and he was obviously very stupid.
There are all kinds of intelligence.

[quote] Donald Trump asked the doctor treating him for his gunshot wound last July if he could have a CT scan image because it’s “like an IQ test,”
I have had both a CT scan and an MRI of my brain, so clearly I am above average intelligence and I have the film to prove it. Of course I also have a small brain tumor so there is that.

OP, I can assure you I'm a very stable genius!

I got 100 in my IQ test which is a perfect score, so i am very happy
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 14, 2025 4:52 PM |
Analytically I'm less intelligent than two friend of mine (maths, statistics, chess ...) but I still enjoy those things. I'm a very quick learner when it comes to music though and am fast in picking up new things in general. I'm a little afraid in how I would score on an IQ test. I'm also creative and practical in solving everyone's problems but my own and good with handywork.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 14, 2025 5:03 PM |
r21 I know, right? In an alternate timeline my full IQ is 130, med or vet school was a breeze and I'm married to a beautiful good woman. We have four cats, one adopted kid and one biological kid. The mortgage on the house is almost paid.
