Her argument was that she should stop paying the HOA because of a burst pipe in her condo- that’s not how it works AT ALL.

Owning a condo is NOT like a rental unit, and LATE is LATE- she needs to pay fees that over ALL THESE YEARS the other board members have to make other arrangements or pay additional assessments end of year to make up for the money she didn’t pay into, The added paperwork, hiring a lawyer, and all the back and forth required to tabulate and track down deadbeat owners requires extra hours and resources. Condo boards are regulated and required to keep a cushion of funds for emergencies and planned capital repairs over the years.

When I bought my condo, we are responsible to pay for any plumbing that juts out of the walls- the HOA pays for clogs, leaks, etc. that happen within the walls or underground. As a member of an HOA I enjoy group benefits aside of my own condo, swimming pool, water bill paid, flood insurance, etc. THAT STILL NEED TO BE PAID every month whether I am dissatisfied or not.

When I used too much Draino, and the drain under the sink connecting to the wall became corroded and leaked, it was on MY dime to pay for it.

If there was a catastrophic failure of a pipe, I would call the management company that would file a case with the insurance company to make necessary repairs and if needed put me in a hotel until the pipe is fixed and pay for any cleanup or damages.

It is also HIGHLY UNLIKELY it is one person’s decision or retribution as Brenda alludes to over and over- a well run HOA uses legal counsel to make prudent and lawsuit resistant decisions because they want to avoid costly lawsuits, and the management companies manage dozens of other complexes and have seen and dealt with with lots of people like Brenda.

This is/was all just a ploy to avoid paying.

If she can't even repair her car or hire an attorney, she has likely exhausted any savings and maxed out her credit cards. Since social security is based on an average of your highest 35 years of earnings, hers is likely not very high. She would have earned a decent salary as an actress, but that was only about 11 years. That leaves a lot of zeros to be averaged in. She may also get a small pension, but again, she worked so few years that it's not likely to be much at all. I did a quick google search for what income qualifies for Section 8. For an elderly individual in Los Angeles, Section 8 eligibility, specifically the Housing Choice Voucher Program, is primarily determined by income and household size, with a focus on low-income households. Generally, the gross annual income of the household must be below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for Los Angeles County. HUD sets specific income limits, which are adjusted based on the number of people in the household. For example, a single-person household might have a limit around $52,700, while a two-person household could be closer to $60,250. I seriously doubt our BrendaD has anywhere close to an annual income of $52K and virtually no net worth.

And she's a "real estate developer," because her mother's condo has gone up in value from 2008 to 2025 like every property in Southern California over the last two decades. .. This is what has allowed her to get not just one, but four loans against the place since she inherited it. Besides the lender who foreclosed on her and forced the current sale, county records indicate she has another loan against the place that she got in 2015 for $150K. That one is more like a 30-year mortgage with an adjustable interest rate, which she's supposed to be making monthly payments on until 2045.

She and her drama make for a fascinating kook. Being new to this orbit I still ask myself sometimes how someone’s life can come to this.

The book has poor grammar, lack of punctuation and is chronologically all over the place. You can tell she wrote it herself instead of using a ghostwriter. I give her props but she most likely did it for narcissistic reasons rather than authenticity. There's also a lot of date fudging due to age fabrication on Brenda's part as well.

R463, I started it in 2020 when we were stuck at home during Covid. I was entertained by Brenda’s ridiculous photoshopping, and so was a friend of mine. He suggested it would be funny to see side-by-side comparisons of her before and after pics, so I set up the account mainly to amuse myself and my friend, and a couple of other friends who also found Brenda hilarious.

It was easy to find a lot of the original photos on Getty Images etc, but sometimes I dug deeper and found them on other people’s accounts or on news websites etc. I am a pretty good internet sleuth. For the past couple of years it has slowed down because I have pretty much worked through all the pics that are available. Brenda endlessly reposts the same ones, as you no doubt know.

To answer your question, Brenda did block me on my personal account at some point (when I commented on her “lifetime achievement” award). And she soon blocked the bd_unplugged account too. But bd_unplugged was never motivated by revenge, if that’s what you meant. It was just something to amuse me and my friends.

Yes, they can. Once a judge issues a Writ of Possession for the new owner, this goes to the Los Angeles County Sheriff.

The sheriff has a court-ordered schedule and if the person is not gone by the court-ordered date, then the sheriff can break the lock and use reasonable force to remove the person. The sheriff then changes the locks and gives the keys to the new owner. If the old owner returns they can be arrested for trespassing.

I personally know of one case where the sheriff was ordered to evict someone, and the old owner started a fire, pulled out a rifle, and ended up shooting a fireman. In another case, the person got arrested for returning to the house post-eviction. He was not put in jail, but ended in court and had to pay a hefty fine.

She was going crazy with the dyslexia and racing thoughts, but she frequently will mention “half the divorce” as though she is still waiting for some kind of settlement. I know that sometimes the financial settlement from a divorce can be delayed, but it’s been nearly 20 years since her second divorce. There’s nothing coming her way. She would have a better chance of getting cash settlement by buying a lottery ticket.
