Is Jamie Lee Curtis officially more popular than Sharon Stone?

No question.

I think an answer may be found in this recent Guardian interview. As the writer says “ Last question please, the publicist says. Perhaps she’s as exhausted as I am. Stone is over the top, a little unreliable, thoroughly immodest and rather magnificent.”. In other words, crazy.

She needs a reality show. Sharon is fucking nuts but entertaining as hell.

I agree R7. JLC is very active on social media and is beloved for the Halloween movies. She comes across as a nice person. And she's an ally.

JLC looks remarkably bad for her age--sun and smoking.

Sharon was a sex kitten/symbol, which isn't conducive to longevity in the business. JLC never had to deal with that hindrance, plus she's a nepo. There's no place in Hollywood for aging sex kittens.

Sharon revealed her crazy early on, which probably hurt her, whereas JLC held it in until she got old and wrinkled.

Sharon was in one of the most iconic movies ever made and every man on earth wanted to fuck her for the next decade, at least.

JLC is more famous and a better actor but Sharon Stone is more glamorous.

Jamie wants to be the standard bearer for aging but most 65 year old women are not that wrinkled. She does have great posture. Sharon Stone gets points for aging well. She has wrinkles and expression lines but doesn't look like a piece of leather.

It's a fair compliment for older women, many of whom are stooped and have osteoporosis. She seems to have a lot of strength and vitality.

If you live in sunny climes, you see a lot of handbag faces. In other parts of the country, where people aren't sun worshipers, not so much.

Women and gay men can do a lot with sunscreen, Retin A, Vitamin C, peptides and the occasional peel or lasering. Not drinking or smoking makes a big difference. You'll still have expression lines but you won't look like Jamie with lip wrinkles.

SS takes herself too seriously while JLC doesn't. SS also made some mean spirited comments about Meryl a few years ago that show what kind of a person she is.

JLC stopped being a "nepo" back in 1988. She had a string of successes and established herself as a legitimate actress with her BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for A Fish Called Wanda.

At a certain point, actors who get a start become a star in their own right don't deserve to be denigrated with a "nepo baby" label. Look at how many children of stars tried and never made it, even with the help of their parent(s).

It's just lazy and stupid to continue to call JLC a nepo baby at 65, with an Oscar to her name.

R16 Jamie Lee Curtis is a solid mainstream actress. I ain’t saying she no mafuckin Glen Close but like Bruce Willis she picked excellent commercial films. Popcorn flicks that were actually good and not just entertaining or flashy. She is the blockbuster Queen of comedy and horror. And then she is tall, not bad looking at all, just has a presence.

Didn't JLC do some shitcom with Richard Lewis or something? She's got perseverance, so there's that.

Everything she has is because of her parents. She got a contract with NBC straight out of high school despite having zero training, experience and being barely educated. She didn’t even perform in school plays. Then she was given her breakthrough in “Halloween” because the producers thought the horror connection with her mother and “Psycho” would garner extra publicity. If it weren’t for her parents, she’d be that manly receptionist in the dentist office.

She’s now fashioned herself as an obnoxious know-it-all on every subject imaginable with her social media addiction and Cluster B self involvement. She is absolutely vile.

Popularity is fleeting. Character snd beauty is forever. And there is no greater character in entertainment than Sharon Stone.
