His comedy has never been homophobic. His first comedy album had a funny bit about him accidentally cruising a guy in Vancouver because he didn’t realize he was staying in the gay section of town but it was about him being clueless not homophobic
I understand the accent would suggest MAGA tendencies but if he is he’s quiet about it. I’d be disappointed to learn that too because I’ve liked him for a long time
