I know it predates the personal computer, with secretaries and housewives championed for their abilities in prior decades, but it definitely got worse in the internet age. We're moving into a new age where people mindlessly engage with and follow the orders of an app as they multi-task.
Anyone see any signs of resistance to the constant valorization and mythologizing of "efficiency?"
