Curious did you post with a user name? I have noticed there's this thing where if you post with a name, sooner or later one of the snakes in here will F&F your post over and over and over until you get banned. It is a ridiculous problem. Posters have said they told the DL staff about it but to no avail.

Me, too, OP. Came off a 72 hour ban on Tuesday, only to receive a 24 hour ban which just ended a few hours ago.

The hot house flower MAGAts and anti-trans trolls sure can dish out the slurs and insults, but they hit the F&F button as soon as their delicate sensibilities have been triggered.

One solution could be if each of us is only allowed 1 FF per week. If you want to FF somebody it has to have been at least 7 days since the last time you did. Simple auto-calc. DL does it for the banning so they could easily do it fo rFF. Creating a culture where you do have FF power for extreme pieces of human filth, but you don't want to waste yours. And so only the worst of the worst gets banned.

I've seen other peer-moderated sites use a similar approach and it works pretty well.

What people don’t seem to understand is there IS NO REASON you are banned. The process is automated. If some other users (perhaps even just one using sock puppets) FFs your post because they are a petty tyrant on a power trip and something you said sets them off, you get banned.

I was banned (unsigned), for a pretty grown-up anti-drugs comment (in an otherwise vicious anti-drugs post) because I dared criticize a "national treasure" though I calmly supported my point with two US medical journal links. Boom! Banned by, I suspect, a white-wimmin.

I am poster R163, as well as R86 on this thread. I don't f&f posters, nor do I put people on ignore. It's a zero sum game and its childish and stupid. If you can't even bear to see or hear other opinions, especially those on an anonymous message board, you probably shouldn't be getting out of bed in the morning. I don't know how some of you hyper-sensitive people make it through the day.

The idea that it’s just the right that doesn’t like to be bested is pretty funny. I don’t get into arguments with MAGAs. What’s the point? But I do sometimes get into arguments with progressive social justice warriors (the kind who will insist I must be MAGA simply for using that term) and have been banned for it.

How difficult would it be to implement a system, similar to seeing your posts which have been favorited (if you’re a paying member), that allows you to see your posts which have been F&F? At least then we’d have a better idea. Right now it seems so random.
