Eve Plumb has plenty of money and she is kind of a class act.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 9, 2025 7:13 AM |
Does she discuss her co-star in Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway — and the far more successful sequel, Alexander: The Other Side of Dawn — Leigh McCloskey?
Did they bang?
Was she jealous that he was Juilliard-trained when she was just an LA kid whose parents got her into commercials?

She shouldn’t be hurting for money. Found this on her Wikipedia page:
In 2016, she sold the Malibu home that she had purchased at the age of 11 in 1969. She bought the 1950s beach bungalow for $55,000 and sold it for $3.9 million.

I doubt she will dish any real dirt but I hope Susan Olsen catches some strays. She let it slip in an interview that Eve refuses to talk to her after she sabotaged a proposed "Brady" reboot with her MAGA conspiracy bs.
And we all know Eve is a messy b*tch who can hold a grudge!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 9, 2025 8:33 AM |
Remember when she went on Sally Jessy and threw a fit about the audience asking her about The Brady Bunch? The show’s topic was former child stars.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 9, 2025 2:24 PM |
The irony is she’s participated in MANY BB reunions, except the variety hour, which she was smart as hell to avoid. I don’t care what her wiki page says, and that she has plenty of money from selling her house. MORE money always talks.

by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 9, 2025 5:43 PM |
She’s pretty well off. Her parents invested her money well and she was one of the few child stars of that era who didn’t have parents who depended on their kid as their main/only source of income. Her dad was a very successful record executive.

A few years ago, Eve & her husband launched PlumbGoods, a home collection with Eve's retro designs. Mugs, water bottles, totes, aprons, etc. There's also line of fresh-roasted coffees called Happiness Included -- 50% of the profits from the coffee line are donated to the NYC ASPCA.

I would love if Eve had titled her memoir “Still Not Bitter, Dammit!”
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 10, 2025 1:31 AM |
There's a clip from Andy Cohen's talk show where he's interviewing the cast and Eve claims she's never seen the Brady Bunch movies. I'm sure the internet would have exploded if Maureen, sitting next to her would have dropped a perfectly timed, Sure Jan.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 10, 2025 1:47 AM |
Sure, Jan.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 10, 2025 1:52 AM |
She's been a miserable and humorless on every talk show she's ever been on. Refuses to engage with any Brady anecdotes or trivia. Yet the only reason she is even invited on these talk shows is to share Brady anecdotes. She's been a tiny bit better since the Brady house renovation show but not much, still dour.
If she's asked about any behind the scenes shenanigans or bloopers, she says she doesn't remember.
If she's asked about her favorite episode she says she doesn't have one, if she's pushed she reluctantly says either Hawaii or Grand Canyon.

[quote] People like the show, but just fans of Eve Plumb, by herself?
Oddly enough, the writers of the show loved her, which is why she was given so many showcase episodes where basically Jan freaked out (over having a dull personality and needing a wig, over being in Marcia's shadow, over looking like Aunt Jenny, etc.). the writers were convinced she was the best child actor on the show and gave her more "dramatic" episodes than they did for the other children.
She also got much better work than the other kids did when the show ended--whe was cast in more TV movies than any of the other kids were. but then it dried up when she grew up to be a somewhat dowdy adult.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 10, 2025 5:19 AM |

Well, she’s by far the best actor out of all the kids. I think everyone recognizes that, at least.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 10, 2025 7:43 AM |
If "by far the best actor out of all the kids," you mean the most castable as a teenage whore, you are correct.
Unfortunately, her career kind of level-set with the others after 1978.

Her most bizarre appearance had to be on an episode of One Day at a Time that she did around the time of her guest star appearance on Facts of Life. She plays Howard Hesseman's date the first time he shows up and meets Barbara and Ann Romano.
She's in the show all of two minutes and has one or two lines. I was stunned at the end when I found out it was her and wondered why she would accept such a nothing role, unless she needed the money. But they couldn't writer her something a little more substantial?
Shit, even Susan Richardson got a couple of episodes on One Day playing a friend of Barbara and Mark's.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 10, 2025 7:34 PM |
R55 I think around this time she was still trying to make a career as an actress, and taking what she could get. This was around the time after the Brady Brides series. She’s admitted that they threw a lot of money at her to do Brady Brides and that’s the only reason she did it.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 10, 2025 11:14 PM |
One Day At A Time was considered prestige TV so even a nothing part was worth taking if it might get you into Norman Lear’s orbit. Clearly it didn’t work for her but I can understand why she did it

They could have also cut down the part from read-through to tape on that ODAAT episode. I recall reading the actress who played Big Daddy's younger bride on The Golden Girls saying in an interview that her part was cut significantly from the initial script she had at the beginning of the week.

Eve appeared on a very early episode of That '70 Show, as Jackie's realtor mother. It was essentially a cameo (just a couple lines), but her delivery was funny. "And this tiled walkway leads to the swimming pool...which is occupied by some of the local teenagers....heavily Caucasian...it's a good neighborhood!"

Here she is on Rosie O'Donnell Show acting excited when discussing anything other than TBB.
These days Eve, Cynthia Nixon and Laurie Metcalf have a similar vibe. They should do a show together, maybe golden girls type sisters, Eve could be the middle sister.
