Of course, don't blame the illness, blame in illness, blame the vaccine

I hope they sent counselors and mental health officials instead of the pigs.

[quote]the shooter was either sick or believed he was sick and blamed the illness on the Covid-19 vaccine
Wherever could he have gotten that idea?

the CDC is on Emory's campus. So is the Medical Center and the Children's hospital. My doctor's office is a block away from where this happened. The shooter apparently positioned himself at the CVS and shot at the CDC building across the street. He must have had a pretty powerful gun. Workers at CDC said that bullets struck the windows. He killed a police officer. The officer had two children and another on the way. He had a mother and father, a wife, and siblings. This community is shattered by this. From what I know, the shooter was upset about vaccines...so he decided to shoot up the CDC...apparently someone spoke to his family and that's what they said.

Just read that CDC has a day care center for their employees and 92 little kids, toddlers as young as 2 yrs old were on lockdown, while the parents were detained in another secure area until the lockdown was lifted. Apparently several buildings were shot up by the shooter. They found him dead on the second floor of the CVS store. He apparently claimed the COVID vaccine made him sick.....can you imagine how much worse this could have been? Jesus Christ!

Girls. GIRLS. This was a CVS shooting. Which happened to be in the neighborhood of Emory and CDC.

R29, no, this took place on the campus of Emory Medical Center and the CDC. Emory Point is the name of the shopping area where the CVS is. This was not a CVS shooting it was a deliberate CDC shooting. Windows were hit in CDC buildings. This happened 3 miles from my home. one block away from my doctor's office, and less than a half mile away from the hospital and the Medical center. I am very familiar with the area.
I have a feeling about this. I feel like "something" is happening on line to agitate people on the Right. All those unstable conspiracy theorists and others of that ilk. People are getting triggered. Too many guns out here. Way too many.

When I told my neighbors (all Trumpers) that I got Covid after I'd had seven Covid shots, all of them, without fail, told me that the Covid shots had given me Covid. I think it was from visiting NYC, where I cannot even imagine what kind of exotic Covid strains were flying around.

R34 as I understood it, the vaccine was never promoted as something that would completely prevent COVID but I've had it 3 times, one case was very severe another very very mild. But even though my health is compromised to begin with, I was never hospitalized. I get all my shots every year. RSV, flu, covid. So far I haven't been sick since 2022.

People think vaccines are supposed to completely eliminate the chance of getting a disease. They then complain when, after getting a vaccine, get a mild form of the infections
Most vaccines work 70-80% to prevent the disease. The Flu vaccine is even worse—30-50%. That said, these odds are dramatically better than not having the vaccine at all
