I'm disappointed there's no Brite on this list. Mother used that on her floors for years.

I hear Miss Joan Crawford herself swears by new post-war Old Dutch Cleanser.

I'm surprised Comet was not on the list.
R2, for some reason, I thought Comet was used to beat Christina. Maybe I should use Old Dutch Cleanser.

Old standard Lestoil works beautifully as a laundry additive.
It takes the stink out of anything.

Borax is still the best laundry booster there is. No scent, removes dirt/stains like a charm, freshens and brightens. Can use it diluted in water to clean surfaces as well, and it can even be used as a garden insecticide.

R5, is it better than Oxy Clean?

Barkeeper's Friend, but the more recent GOAT is lavender Fabuloso. Whatever scent the red one is, that ain't it.

Well, not EVERYTHING.

I like both actually r6. Different products. Borax is a natural mineral, OC is chemically based.
I like OC for heavy laundry stains, it does great with spot treatments. I usually use a quarter to third of a cup of Borax in each laundry load as a general boost. It also seems to soften things a bit.

I used to rub a bit of Murphy’s on the top of the light bulbs in lamps on end tables to imbue a pleasant scent. It no longer works with cool LED bulbs.
