Just to counter all the weirdos who don’t live in NYC constantly saying NY is dangerous. No, it’s not. And that includes the subways which had their lowest month of crime on record.

It’s an enormous city of 9 million people in a very tight geographical area, R1. Things are going to happen. I just moved back from a very white, extremely liberal smallish suburban town that had a lot more gun violence and drug problems per capita and area than NYC could ever have.
