All of the people in this story have died long ago except my cousins. In the late 1939 my grandma met a widower who has two kids a boy and a girl. I'm my grandma married him and and a couple years later had my mom. By all accounts from all involved it was happy arrangement for everyone. The only thing that I thought was weird, was when the 2 first kids went to high school they boarded in town do to a 16 mile trip over icy roads in the winter. I didn't know that my uncle and aunt were half siblings of my mom until I was like 10. We were all as close as family could be. Now two of my cousins are claiming that my grandma stole their mom's social security benefits from when their mom died. Is this even possible. I know it's a cliche, but my grandma was a saint. She babysat their kids, was a great grandma they were all super close. At any rate, my grandpa wouldn't have let her "steal" their money. The whole thing is crazy to me.

I'd be happy to read this if only it were translated into English.

This is one of the most poorly written OP posts I’ve ever read.

What does that have anything to do with the story? I’m so confused.

Social security didn't exist until 1935, so if she died between 1935 - 1939 and worked outside the home, it only would have been a few years' worth of social security payments. If there were any such payments, I am sure your grandfather was the one who took them, he would have had to deposit them in an account with his dead wife's name.

Cissy ran so many fucking grifts, it’s a miracle the FBI didn’t break down their fabulous apartment doors and haul her off to Sing Sing.
The social security scam she was running made for a solid multi-episode arc, but it pales compared to when she was skimming the Teamsters’ union dues or that phony time share operation she pulled off using Uncle Bill’s tax returns and Mr. French’s passport.

Grandma earned that money fair and square, turning tricks in the parking lot at The Regal Beagle.
