Are there any level-headed gays who don’t think that trans people are responsible for their own current predicament?

I mean, did trans people and trans activist honestly believe that mainstream America was going to be okay with transitioning children and hacking off the tits of 15 year-old girls? The LGBTQ plus community always wants to blame conservatives for going after trans people, but I can only assume that they would’ve had better luck if they had used the same tactics of gay activists. Live and let live, and leave the children alone.

How many times are you going to post this same exact thread OP?

Live and let live seems to be the opposite of OP's M.O.

I mean, I think it's the generalisations that people find annoying. Most can separate kids wanting to transition compared to legal adults wanting to. Yet some deliberately conflate the two and use it to smear all trans people.

I agree children shouldn't be able to have life-altering surgery. I believe it should only be available to adults and only after they've had the appropriate discussions about all it entails and they're completely sure they want to proceed.

But many of the adults who want to transition aren't campaigning for children to be transitioned. They just want to get on with their lives and don't want to be treated badly by those who make incorrect negative assumptions about them as a whole.

We gays are used to being generalised in a negative way to smear us. Just the other day I saw a news story on Twitter about a gay male couple who'd adopted a son and then abused him. Obviously that's awful and the perpertrators should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, but the article was effectively saying: "This is why we can't trust gays. This is what they're really like. Letting them get married led to this."

And I was thinking... hang on, there are many gay couples who offer loving homes to the children they adopt. I'm gay but I don't have any interest in adopting a child or having one via surrogacy - same as many other gays. We're happy just living our lives and don't need people to use news stories like that to smear us all.

I know many can see through it, but it's still shitty to see.
