Anyone else a fan of this song? It’s from the HISTory album and wasn’t really a big hit in the US but I do remember the music video on VH1 in the 90s. It’s a nice song.
OP, I absolutely LOVE the song. I love atmospheric songs, and "Stranger In Moscow" certainly fits that category.
Too bad it wasn't a big hit, or he died before it really hit; it would've been a nice departure for him, possibly indicating a more mature sound going forward.
Video is great, as well.

And the little boy voice calls out "Michael." I just love that part.

As MJ's career progressed, his obsession with little boys became more and more prevalent in his work. Macaulay Culkin and other little boys in his videos, little boys dancing on stage with him during concerts, etc. You never saw that shit when he was doing stuff like Billie Jean, Thriller or Beat It.

This was the period and video that he started to wear a full wig at all times. He looked so horrific by this time that he wore more makeup than a drag queen, and the videos were heavily filtered and filmed with a soft focus lens.
The song is good but by this time we all knew he was a pedophile molesting loads of little boys, so that put me off. Looking back he was a vile creature, a narcissist and sociopath and highly manipulative. The world is a better place without him.

The song is very slight. It has good production.
