Apa will play the legendary actor in a new biopic!
Jimmy Stewart finally getting the credit for those world-class cum gutters.

Wow. Can't wait to see that one. The only thing better would be a double bill with the Helen Hayes biopic.

Something is so off about him, I can never put my finger on it but he’s so weird looking. He’s like close to being incredibly handsome but he also looks like a creep at the same time.

I also believed he grew up in the state of Indiana and not Indiana, Pennsylvania. Did Pennsylvanians really have that kind of drawl?

Will this film beat the alleged Tom Holland as Fred Astaire biopic to cinemas?

What's so interesting about Jimmy Stewart's life? Sorry, Carol.

Biopics are always lazy whitewashed trash

The film's director is one of those professional Christians who makes movies for PureFlix and Affirm.

R10 appropriate.
Jimmy was a devout Christian

God. The film just became even duller. Without scenes of Stewart banging ever actress in Hollywood (even Norma Shearer and Dinah Shore!) or Marlene Dietrich aborting their baby, the dramatic moments will be few and far between.

A toned, biracial New Zealander. It’s a stroke of genius casting!

I can’t wait to see how they age him to recreate the shoot of the beloved (by DL) classic, Airport ‘77.

That's not a very nice thing to say about Jimmy Stewart!

The tenacement of Stewart’s shirtless scene in Rear Window will look John Gavin in Psycho.

R7 Do they sit around looking at the latest "star" going, "Who does he look like to make a biopic."?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 5, 2025 11:47 PM |
I can imagine now fundie Burns's direction of the tense scene where the New Zealander Apa yells at Marlene in his best Steward drawl: "I told you we're not keeping the damn thing. You're going to go to that lady I told you about and have her suck l it out.""

I’ve always liked Jimmy Stewart’s iconic films and varied movie roles. I think it’s nice that his life will be getting the big-screen-bio treatment.

Jimmy Stewart was like the original Tom Hanks to me. Talented and wonderful to watch but also one of the most boring people ever.
How he and Dietrich had a relationship I’ll never understand that one.

WHY? WHY? Just WHY? A part Samoan/Pakeha actor playing Jimmy. My late father would not approve of this, Jimmy was his fav actor who had a very distinctive voice.

Governor Wallace at r24, this is no longer 1961.

They picked the wrong Hitchcock star. he should be playing Anthony Perkins.

R26 no.

Who’s gonna be Fonda? And, when do they fuck?

This is the worst casting since Zoe Saldana was cast as Nina Simone. Guess they aren't going for even a tiny bit of a resemblance.

R20 The days of 'Columbia Pictures and Mr. Harry Cohn present Miss Kim Novak as Jeanne Eagels' are over.
This is the vanity project of Jimmy Stewart's daughter shot cheaply in Ireland by a no-name Christian movie producer turned director. It'll probably be dumped into theatres by Roadside Attractions (at best) between a movie about a Christian football coach and some failed Oscar play for an aging actress from the previous year's Toronto Film Festival.
The "Burns & Co. Productions has set a U.S. theatrical release for November 2026" line is hilarious given that whatever distributor deigns to release this thing will get to set those terms.

R25 had to look Wallace up as I'm not American. Sticking to what I said.
