"Why Are You Yelling at Me?!?!?!" - Moon-faced Republican Congresscritters SHOCKED at Angry Constituents
Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE), seen here modeling for Sears Optical's "Lookin' Great in '78" campaign, is equal parts shocked and annoyed that his rural constituents are angry about his vote to slash Medicaid in favor of tax cuts for the rich.
No comment on his suggestion to pay down the debt using the money he isn't spending on new ties.

He better get used to the pitchforks. Wait until the Big Beautiful Bill for Billionaires kicks in . Boomers losing entitlements will be a collective meltdown of epic proportions.

He deserves it for being such an idiot, having the town hall.

But what did these motherfuckers expect? I bet the majority of them at that town hall voted for him and Trump. Had they done their fucking research before blindly voting against their own interests all because they wanted to “stick it to the Libs,” they wouldn’t be in this predicament now.

R4, even the reddest of red districts, which this one apparently isn't, has plenty of Democratic and other non-MAGA voters. And the people who have the motivation and attentiveness to show up for a town hall meeting are untypical in any case; just the fact that they're present means they "do their research." Maybe there were a few disenchanted one-time MAGAs there, but It's unlikely that the majority of that crowd voted for Flood/Trump. In all likelihood, most of them didn't.

George Soros paid to bus in the protestors! All hail Trump and MAGA!

His district IS the reddest of districts, and has been a Republican stronghold since 1967.

That district boundary looks sus R9.

In 2024 NE 1 went 55.8% Trump, 42.8% Harris. That's a GOP district, but it's not "reddest of red." In any case, my post was a reaction to something I see quite a bit: people see footage like this town hall meeting and say "FAFO" or "What did they expect?" -- as if "red district"/"blue district" means that everyone there is a Republican or a Democrat, or as if the ideological tilt of the few hundred people who are motivated to get off their asses and yell at a congressman is identical to the overall tilt of the district. We should HOPE that at least a few of the people at that meeting voted for Trump and Flood and have now woken up, but mostly the story of these meetings is about how motivated non-MAGAs are.

Yes, r11, but the flip side is how unmotivated MAGAs are, or really soft MAGAs and hanger on kinda MAGAs who are finally getting it through their thick skulls that the Republican Party remains 100% Whores for the Rich Party. And all that shit about Trump being some populist who really does deep down care about working class whites is complete horseshit. Nobody wants to turn out and defend this fuck because there really is no reason at all to support him, unless you're a billionaire or a complete fucking asshole or both.

OP - that was some of your finest work - great job. You don't have to take the final. A for the semester.
Hilarious!

Why hasn't someone started a Moon Face Cunts thread? I'd add Charlie Kirk and KKKaroline Leavitt.

Don’t you just love when the Republicans talk AT their constituents at town halls, get booed and continue spewing their narrative of bullshit.

I watched the entire thing. MAGA were there & pissed off AF.
He won’t be keeping that seat of his.
People are sick of all of this shit, & it’s only August.

Yeah, I agree R13. The decline of MAGA is less about dramatic conversions to sanity and more about quiet demoralization and nope-ing out.

And yet if another election were to be held today, they'd all still vote for Trump, especially if the competition was "that colored woman."
Why? Because their inherent racism and sexism are far stronger than their patriotism.

Flood opened his remarks with "YOU DO NOT GET FREE HEALTH CARE!"
This is a change from his usual opening number, "Muskrat Love," which he self-accompanies with a set of spoons.

Yes, but the 535 members of Congress get FREE HEALTH CARE for them AND their families.
One of those dopes in the audience ought to remind him of that next time he starts spewing that garbage.

AFAIK, they don't get free healthcare. It's subsidized employer healthcare. They still pay a share of the premiums.

Members of Congress no longer receive federal employees' healthcare. They were forced off of it back during the Obamacare scandal, as a punishment. They now have to obtain coverage through the ACA exchange for the District of Columbia. They pay about 25% of the cost of their insurance, with the rest borne by taxpayers.
Premiums are deducted from their congressional salary of $174,000 per year.
