Person on Reddit Claims Lindsey Graham Killed Their Dog

Hi! I’m in a fcked up situation. Throwaway due to privacy reasons. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. I live near Clemson, SC. I have/had two 10 year old beautiful dogs – Bella and Maggie that would roam around freely. They hardly ever barked, they’ve never bitten anyone, they got along with other dogs and people. They are literally my life, I got them as puppies.
Yesterday my dogs were outside playing while I was cooking. Then I heard one of them acting strange and barking. It was Maggie, she was alone, I couldn’t find Bella.
I went looking for her, calling her name. I saw my neighbor – Lindsey Graham (yes, THAT Lindsey) in his yard and asked if he’d seen my dog. He said yes and pointed at something on the ground. It was Bella, her back was covered in blood. My heart dropped, he started yelling she was on his land and other stuff but I don’t remember much of it.
I took Bella to an emergency vet, she was struggling to breathe and couldn’t walk. They x-rayed her and found several pellets lodged in her abdomen and they found the entrance wound.
She died about 4 hours later.
When I got home, I called the police and told them what happened. They arrived shortly after, I explained what happened and they went to get Lindsey Graham’s story. When they came back, they said there was nothing they could do. She was on his property.
I don't know what I am looking for here. Is there any way to hold him accountable?
Please give me your honest thoughts and opinions on this.”

I just saw this post on Reddit and searched here to see if it had already been posted. I knew Lindsay was a POS, but this is a whole new level of evil. I'm sure he was familiar with the dog in question. But I repugnant KWEEN he is. JFC.

I thought I heard limply Linsey lived in a high rise apartment/condo situation. I hate Lindsey Belle but this story may not be true. Tell the world anyway…

I am somewhat skeptical of this story. Lindsey lives in a nice neighborhood in Seneca, SC. It would be unusual for someone in that kind of upscale community to let dogs roam free. I also question whether such a person would rush to Reddit to ask for legal and other advice.
Not saying it's impossible, but I'm skeptical.

Dog owners who let their dogs "roam around freely" are fucking idiots-- totally irresponsible assholes who don't deserve to own dogs. If that post is true and Graham did shoot that dog, I loathe him even more than I already did. But that doesn't absolve the dog's owner, who in my mind is just as culpable.

I too have no regard for those that let their dogs roam free without a leash unless it’s a dog park.
There is loose rat poison, rat traps, poison frogs and a spread of rabies among forest animals, no thanks.
