Jason Momoa on Why ‘Chief of War’ Series Is His Passion Project

Jason Momoa sits down with NBC’s Liz Kreutz near his home in Oahu to talk about his role in the new Apple TV+ action and adventure series called “Chief of War.”

The series follows the struggle to unify the Hawaiian Islands and fight back against colonial invaders in the late 18th century. He opens up about why he was drawn to the story, why it was important to accurately depict traditional Hawaiian customs and more.

Jason eats Hawaiian food with two Brits and talks about the film. Pretty amusing.

R3 He was a hot piece back in his Baywatch days, but now he's just an overly inflated, 'roided out musclehead.

Got about halfway through first episode

It wants to be "Shogun" - it's not quite as good as the Brady Bunch story arc where the family went to Hawaii.
