It's interesting - we're so used to so many different looks in the United States, different hair color, body builds, different races, skin tones, etc.

There were 20 guys in the same swimsuit who, if you didn't have your glasses on, looked relatively the same from far away.

Don’t say that at work, R4. It’s basically the same thing as “all Asians look alike.” But I understand what you mean in the context of the video and about no glasses. So, presumably, if you were sitting around a conference room with these guys you wouldn’t say, “I can’t tell you apart!”

I think it’s the dark hair. I couldn’t keep the characters straight in the movie Dunkirk because they were all young, in the same uniform, and had dark hair. And they were white. These guys are all young, similarly built (because that’s the point of the group), in the same “uniform,” and have hair that photographs identically, uniformly dark.

The lack of diversity is refreshing.

perhaps this is an acting gig and all those contestants were cast to be of the same muscle mass and height. The faces and expressions are unique but the bodies and muscles are so closely matched.

R6 - of course you're right. I would never say that out loud - but I think also having everyone in the same swimsuit didn't help things.

It's like the Robert Palmer video Addicted to Love - but even those models, despite the same styling, had more facial and body distinctions.

When you focused on the faces, of course you could see differences in the Thai video - but it's a swimsuit competition and it focused on their bodies, which seemed very similar.

I find South Korean men beautiful but they often seem sexless or, as too often happens, crazy Christians thanks to evangelicalism from missionaries.

Thai guys look like they are down for good sex, with none of those the hang ups instilled upon them by the West.

Thai-accent English has a pleasing dulcet sound to it.
