What did the trick, and why has she been able to turn it around while Britney still struggles?
How did Lindsay Lohan turn her life around?

She got sober and doesn’t have severe mental illness like Brittney Spears?

Lindsay was just a party girl. Britney was a party girl who managed to trigger her latent bipolar disorder while partying.
Lindsay got her shit together after a respite in Europe & the Middle East. Britney's done little but prove why she *should* still be actively monitored.

What r1 said. What the Free Britney movement never understood is that Britney Spears has a severe mental illness. No judge is going to grant a conservatorship if it's not seriously warranted. Maybe people were enriching themselves at her expense, but it doesn't change the fact that she can't take care of herself.
I think Lindsay Lohan had major problems, too, but she dried out and got lucky that someone halfway decent decided to marry her. Whatever the situation is, it's more stable than what she had before.

Lindsay Lohan IS Anora.

She probably got sick of living that life. It’s exhausting.

Lindsay may have gained the addiction/alcoholism gene from one or both parents, but it seems like she's worked out what works for her. Perhaps she's sober now.
I can attest that active alcoholism IS fucking exhausting as hell. I stopped drinking right at the beginning of January after about 10 months of nonstop drinking and the amount of energy I expended on obtaining, drinking and maintaining an "adequate" alcohol level/supply was unbelievable. Not to mention getting rid of all the empties.
Fuck that bullshit. And maybe Lindsay decided to fuck that bullshit as well (if she was dealing with addiction). Whatever she did, I'm happy for her and wish her continued success, happiness and good health.
