Carroll O Conner was a phenomenal actor
He came from a complete middle class background, with educated parents during the 20s, yet was able to portray working class Joes so convincingly. I wish I could portray him in a biopic but I’m black.
He reminds me so much of my first bear Sugar Daddy where the connection was more than just physical. He taught me so much about life and how to think outside the box. I miss him tremendously lately. He died in a freak motorcycle accident in 2018.

I love how O’Connor was “fat” in 1971 but he’s barely overweight.

All in the Family is one of the greatest TV series ever.

It really is. There haven't been many series, nevermind a sitcom, that told raw truth. I can't begin to imagine its counterpart now.

OP, you actually linked to an article with his name, yet you're too mentally challenged to spell it correctly?

HJe was not a good actor at all - same shitty acting in each of his shows.

He had a small but interesting part in the Neo Noir film Point Blank. I thought he acted well in it.

It is interesting that you came to sexualizing Archie Bunker. Did you by any chance resemble the original Lionel Jefferson?

Yeah, it’s weird that his niche was usurped so easily by the likes of Brian Dennehy and Wilford Brimley when it came to the big screen. I wonder if our OP enjoyed sexual adventures with folks that resembled them.

He acted opposite Lacey Chabert in Party of Five.

R1 - yes, he was overweight. This is not a thin man in this pic.
But he was also old back then. 46 in real life and on the show. Jean Stapleton was one year older.

Archie Bunker was a racist.

It's so hard to believe he was only 46 when he started the show. Did the show use hair and make them look older, downtrodden working class? He and Stapleton easily looked 60.

OP- Working class is a UK/European term.
The Bunkers were lower middle class not working class and in real life Carroll O'Conner was from an upper middle class background.

He was phenomenal as the character Archie Bunker. He created a fully fleshed out and nuanced character. What a great show that was.

Is this a Teacake thread?
I’d never heard anyone eroticise Carol O’Connor before.

I've heard and seen "working class" used in the United States since junior high or thereabouts when kids start becoming acquainted with the haves and have much lesses or nots.

I loved him in Heat of The Night as well . That character reminded me of so many men I knew growing up in the 60s south .
