Hypothetical Manners Scenario
2 dataloungers exit a building. An eldergay and a gen z.The gen z is first through the door and courteously holds it open for the eldergay , who sails regally through without thanking or acknowledging the first.
The Gen z then yells “No Problem” sarcastically after the eldergay.
Whose worse?

[quote] Whose worse?
The one who can't spell "who's" properly.

the eldergay, although if the Gen Z turns it in to an issue then it is the Gen Z who has a problem

You, OP, for posing this ridiculous knockoff of an earlier thread.
Not worse, OP. Worst!

It depends. Did the Gen Z person give consent to be spoken to by an eldergay?
These things matter.

My intention to annoy all of you has been manifested. Thank you.

They should both be punched in the face and their numbers deleted from your cellphone.

The Gen Z is worse here, owing to the "no problem." If your motivation for being courteous is to be thanked, then you aren't being well-mannered. The eldergay could've been short on Poli-Grip that morning, and hissing through gums just ain't the same.

Having been the Gen Z in this hypothetical, definitely the person who did not acknowledge the courtesy. Rude, rude, rude.

Who has sizemeat in this scenario?

I expect the Eldergay to hiss and viciously slap Gen Z, who then retaliates with a kick to the eldergay’s cuntbone.

The eldergay should be thankful the Gen Zer didn’t stare him to death. They say it causes 7 yrs bad luck.

R13 you are being unfair. That only happens with Gen Z cashiers when you go to pay for your purchases and interrupt their texting.

This situation is preposterous. The Gen Zer would never speak to anyone.

It’s a trick question. A Gen Zer would never hold the door.

People appreciate a thank you. It sends positive vibes.

When someone holds the door for me, I always thank them. Then they say something that is sandpaper to my ears like "no worries" or "I got you".

This never actually happened, nor will it ever. Gen Z are too into their phones and earbuds to notice others around them. And they wouldn't hold doors open. Eldergays were raised to say "thank you".
If someone younger at least responds to me with "I got you" or "no worries" I consider it to be a polite intention in their language and culture.

R20 Agree it's much better than nothing. Much. But it still bugs me. I am an old bitch with a short fuse.
