Hell hath no fury like a tranny scorned, apparently. As the Democratic Party seeks to distance itself from the insane over-the-top transgender movement, the backlash continues in both directions.
Rahm just said a man cannot become a woman?
He thinks he’s going to win the nomination with that?
DOA.

Apparently, it's sinking in behind-the-scenes that embracing the T is a political negative, but they (straight cis liberals, of course) can't decide on a way to backtrack. Can Pete de-couple the T from the G? This seems like a step towards 2028 to me.

In some high school sports, like track & field, it's certainly unfair for biological girls to have to compete with trans girls, but no real increased risk of physical harm.. In other sports, like boxing, wrestling or football, it becomes a dangerous competition for the biological girls. If there are some sports out there (I'm no expert) where biological males have no particular physical advantage, why segregate them at all? Boys and girls (trans or otherwise) can complete together. I always figured that the reason for segregation males and females in sports was due to the fact that males would have a competitive edge and could also physically harm females. How does that change just because you style your hair differently and wear cute clothes?

Thank God a Democrat is finally talking sense.

Just my personal gay opinion here. I think it’s becoming more apparent with each passing day as the pendulum swings back towards the center that it has never made any sense to lump trans in with gay. They’re different issues and it looks increasingly silly to demand that gays advocate for trans issues when that’s not even their personal experience.

Well, but would the G be as far as we are without allies advocating for us? R5, really.

Trains and Dems were told in no uncertain terms not to fuck with the kids, that kids were the red line. They went ahead and did it anyway, and then we started losing elections. Moving away from this craziness is a good thing, even though they're already calling him a TERF. Just don't listen to them anymore, they have no economic or political power, they and their useful idiot allies are just extremely loud online.

I'm largely against their agenda (as can be seen above), but this is generally not a good argument against allyship. Plenty of people advocated for AIDS research and SSM back in the day, even though homosexuality was not their personal experience. It's exactly this bleeding heart tendency amongst the libs that trains exploited – and then weaponized – for their own purposes.

Progressive ideology DEMANDS solidarity!
The exclamation mark is pronounced “period.”

Perhaps not, but I think it’s worth mentioning that all we wanted to do was live our lives. We were never out there trying to redefine man and woman, or involve children.
As I recently heard a YouTuber say, “wanting to put my dick inside of another man is not the same as wanting to cut it off.”

I seem to recall that back when marriage was made legal, straight-identifying T's felt "Nothing in it for us."
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 3, 2025 1:24 PM |
We should not allow the tyranny of the majority over the minority but not the reverse either. The T movement has long been very much the tail wagging the dog.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 3, 2025 1:27 PM |
Gays and lesbians gained marriage equality and other civil rights because we made it very clear that we are not going after the kids, interfere with parental rights, or act like a religion complete with transubstantiation. We were able to sufficiently insulate the insane and criminal (not that we don’t have them).

r9 It also didn't affect athletics in any way. The only segment where we wanted to "insert" ourselves was the military, and we ran into some ridiculous arguments about unit cohesion there. As if guys would suddenly forget their country and just start fucking each other on the battlefield once the gays were let in.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 3, 2025 1:29 PM |
r10 I went to their main sub after the Supreme Court upheld the trans military ban, and the most upvoted comment was "I wouldn't want to fight for a fascist, children-killing country anyway". The lone voice telling them this was problematic because it set a precedent for other public positions, was downvoted to hell.

Where does this ridiculous notion even come from?
Gays and Lesbians didn't achieve all they did because of trans anything. Those kinds of voices only created more "otherness" and ridicule. People do realize the potent and toxic Gender Identity Movement has written their own fictional narrative, right?
Good Lord, people are simple!

LITERAL VIOLENCE!!

Will you people ever just stfu, you spend half your lives complaining about people you never even meet.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 3, 2025 5:20 PM |
So r19 you're saying men playing women's sports and sterilizing gay children are righteous and because they are "people we've never met" that means your moral relativism is just?
I'm sure nobody dares tell you for fear of your wrath, but Dr. Mengele would agree with you!

R20 what I’m saying is that you people need to get a more enriching hobby in your lives.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 4, 2025 4:53 AM |
I'm glad he said something, but this is nearly incomprehensible-- everyone, on both sides, thinks it "matters."
I think most reasonable people would recognize that there are serious fairness issues if you just treat this as not mattering when a trans athlete wants to compete in women’s sports,” Buttigieg told NPR
