I say yes. If the state can take your life, the most invasion of privacy thing there is, they should have rights to your libido after repeatedly committing sexual crime.
Should we chemically castrate repeat child sex offenders?

Yes.

OP, how many of these threads are you going to create?

This going for women too?

R2 This is the first thread I’ve ever created on the topic related to my own childhood trauma. Please go away from me.

On the face of it, yes, it seems like a logical way to stop chronic offenders without the cost of incarceration...however, given the current state of our judiciary and law enforcement in general - lord, it's like another tool in their hands enabling them to go Full Nazi. God knows who they'd be castrating and for what reasons.

Homosexual men.

Yes, let’s give the government the power to mutilate citizens. What could go wrong? They used to chemically castrate homosexuals. You may want to rethink this.

Just chop off Trump's button mushroom with a paring knife.

Ok. So Trump would be treated first, then. :)

Does it really work?

I've never believed in the sex offender registry or restrictive parole in general.
If we're THAT afraid of someone then we should just keep them in prison.

I'm all for it, as I am the death penalty, IF we knew that our justice system never made mistakes.
But we all know it does make mistakes. Over and over and over and over and over again.
However, if the perp admitted it? And there was no doubt whatsoever? I say do it. It'd be interesting to see how it affects recidivism.

R12 sums up my feelings. It concerns me that the judicial system would get it wrong in some cases and then force medication on an innocent person.
But where there's zero doubt I wouldn't be against it if it were definitely effective. And the last part is key... do we know for sure it would definitely stop predators? If not, couldn't we make the problem worse by releasing an offender earlier than we would have normally (thinking it'd be safe)?
