Vatican to become world's first carbon-neutral state
Leo working hard on his legacy already.
[quote]The agrivoltaic plant will be constructed on 430 hectares of Vatican property at Santa Maria di Galeria, approximately 35 kilometers north of Rome, where Vatican Radio has operated shortwave transmitters since the 1950s. The project is designed to generate enough renewable electricity to power all of Vatican City's needs.
[quote]Vatican officials estimate the development will cost under 100 million euros. The innovative agrivoltaic design allows solar panels to coexist with crops and livestock, minimizing environmental impact while respecting the area's cultural and archaeological heritage.

It’s not really a “state.” More like a neighborhood.

It's a state where international relations are concerned. If we went by size or population alone, Andorra and Lichtenstein and the various Pacific nations would just be towns as well. Not to mention my own country, which is smaller than Chicago.

That’s not the question. It’s whether boasting about being the first carbon-neutral “state” makes any sense when you’re literally a single, organization on a modest plot of land.
There are surely other carbon-neutral enterprises occupying similar amounts of land.

So it's not carbon-neutral independence if they're building this outside of their 'state'. (Agreed with R3 - it's just a technicality).
Second, they're spending 100 million euros (around a million PER ACRE) to be carbon-neutral.
100 million euros - fuck the sexual abuse survivors, fuck the poor and starving. These girls in their fancy robes bringing male prostitutes in at night - they need to be seen as 'progressive' and carbon-neutral.
Fuck off with all this noise. Leo's 'legacy'? This is absurd and insulting.

It's barely even that. It's more like a cul-de-sac.
