Is "love fat cats" the right way to characterize it? It looks somewhat funny at first because it's so unusual and cartoonish, but I almost immediately feel bad and feel sorry for the cat.

I actually don't love fat cats—or rather, I don't love the fact that they're fat. I love all cats. Whenever I see an animal that is grossly obese, I have a visceral reaction that's the same as the one I have when I see one that is emaciated. It tells me that the animal's owner is not properly caring for it and is doing passive harm to their pet which could be easily prevented. It makes me sad for the animal.

If you love your pet (cat, dog, rabbit, whatever) you won’t let him become obese.
