Heinous whore

by Anonymousreply 2August 1, 2025 9:37 PM

Trump economy?

by Anonymousreply 3August 1, 2025 9:45 PM

Probably ICE raided them. I'd expect nothing less from her.

by Anonymousreply 4August 1, 2025 9:50 PM

Where’s the rest of her?

by Anonymousreply 5August 1, 2025 9:53 PM

Their other four restaurants will remain open.

[Quote] The family said they will instead focus on their four remaining Paula Deen's Family Kitchen locations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; and Branson, Missouri, which they will visit Aug. 8.

Awww too bad for that racist, MAGA whore.

by Anonymousreply 8August 2, 2025 2:54 AM

I stopped there for novelty’s sake a year or two ago on a roadtrip that took me through Savannah. It was awful and most everything looked and tasted like it came from a can.

by Anonymousreply 9August 2, 2025 4:28 AM

I ate at one! It's ok. You order these dishes that are big enough for the whole family to share and they come out and they keep refilling them.

You're not allowed to take any leftovers home.

by Anonymousreply 10August 2, 2025 4:31 AM

Trump Cunt

by Anonymousreply 11August 2, 2025 5:52 AM

I thought she was dead.

by Anonymousreply 12August 2, 2025 5:56 AM

She’s been hired to cook at the all new Trump Ballroom-D.C.

by Anonymousreply 13August 2, 2025 6:02 AM

R13 Plantation theme menu probably.

by Anonymousreply 14August 2, 2025 6:06 AM

Probably another employee lawsuit brewing at that branch, so she pulled the plug to shut it down.

by Anonymousreply 15August 2, 2025 6:23 AM

She’s experienced difficulty in her life but has been able to turn it around, apparently.

I've been there a couple of times, long ago. The second time I was there was only because I had guests who really wanted to go, even though I told them it was not that good. They found out. The first thing I noticed was that many of the vegetables served were obviously canned. The fried okra (which I am passionate about when it's cooked properly) was burned to a crisp. The place relied on tourist trade since the locals soured on her and her restaurant long ago. She had to close the restaurant her dumb brother ran years ago. Frankly if she up and moved to a city where one of her remaining restaurants is located no one in Savannah would shed a tear. From all I've heard I think Paula is an old woman now (78) and checked out long ago, and has basically left everything up to her sons. Jamie is talented & smart, Bobby is a fraud with zero know-how in the restaurant industry.

I haven't paid close attention to the tourist numbers in town lately. At first sight it appears they haven't decreased noticeably. So I don't know how much the current issues with Trump's BS has caused this. Frankly, I think it's just a long time coming. From all I've heard I think Paula checked out long ago and has basically left everything up to her sons. Jamie is talented & smart, Bobby is a dope who would be working as a fry-cook somewhere if it wasn't for her mother.

by Anonymousreply 18August 2, 2025 9:49 AM

About 20 years ago, my brother had a job interview in Savannah and we took him out to lunch afterwards. It was the height of “Lady and Sons” fame before all the scandals.

It was pretty terrible. As someone said above, everything seemed mushy and canned.

My brother remarked that the food reminded him of our grandmother’s cooking, and that was true enough. Our grandmother was always said to be some great cook, but her food was pretty terrible.

She was also a hateful bitch.

by Anonymousreply 19August 2, 2025 9:56 AM

[quote]Uh oh. Did people figure out what the ingredients were in her pies?

gall, acid, vinegar

by Anonymousreply 20August 2, 2025 12:29 PM

Did her son Bobby ever come out?

by Anonymousreply 21August 2, 2025 1:31 PM

Paula wouldn’t allow it.

by Anonymousreply 22August 2, 2025 2:07 PM

She looks like an elderly Katy Perry at r1.

by Anonymousreply 23August 2, 2025 2:10 PM

The Radar article says she’s 68?! Unless they’re referring to her publicist which by be downright peculiar.

by Anonymousreply 24August 2, 2025 2:12 PM

The article is a decade old r24

by Anonymousreply 25August 2, 2025 2:20 PM

Paula "Hilly Hollbrook" Deen

by Anonymousreply 26August 2, 2025 2:24 PM

What scandals, [R19]? I don’t follow this woman.

by Anonymousreply 27August 2, 2025 2:45 PM

I initially saw her on a tv special where she stuck her face into a chocolate fountain lapping up the melted chocolate and thing's kind of went downhill from there.

by Anonymousreply 28August 2, 2025 2:52 PM

I’m sure most of you crowing about this have never actually been to the restaurant. I’ll miss it, great food.

My favorite dish was the butter sandwich — three sticks of butter in between two thick slices of all-butter French pound cake, drizzled with melted butter.

by Anonymousreply 29August 2, 2025 2:54 PM

Years back, a poster who claimed to know Katy Mixon said she claimed Bobby is gay. This was just after Katy and Bobby broke up. It wasn’t long after he was with a fresh, young beard getting married and pumping out kids.

by Anonymousreply 30August 2, 2025 2:59 PM

Terrible food. As others have said - out of a can. Same as Sylvia's in Harlem.

by Anonymousreply 31August 2, 2025 2:59 PM

Is Ms Wilkes any better?

by Anonymousreply 32August 2, 2025 4:11 PM

Are the servers in blackface?

by Anonymousreply 33August 2, 2025 4:29 PM

well, hell’s bells!

by Anonymousreply 34August 2, 2025 4:40 PM

I knew Paula was a fraud many years ago. On her show she was doing a segment out at Fort Pulaski, a famous Civil War fort out on the way to Tybee island. She was demonstrating how they made "hoe cakes" back in the day when they literally cooked them on a shovel. She took out the shovel and then like a fool she sprayed Pam all over the shovel before pouring cooking oil on top of the Pam and held it over the fire to heat the oil up. I was literally screaming at the TV "WHY THEY FUCK DO YOU NEED TO SPRAY PAM ON THE SHOVEL YOU DUMB BITCH - DID YOU THINK THE COOKING OIL IS GOING TO STICK!!!".

Even the Neely's told Food Network Paula needed some diversity training. This is an early example of Paula's loose lip. She was on the Today show and a staffer was trying to correct something out of camera. Paula freaked out and gleefully asked "is he from this country?"

[quote]R29 My favorite dish was the butter sandwich — three sticks of butter in between two thick slices of all-butter French pound cake, drizzled with melted butter.

Those starter sandwiches were indeed delicious, but I myself loved the simplicity and continental charm of the Butter Fondue - cubes of frozen butter dipped on long pretzel sticks into a fragrant sauce of warm melted butter and white wine.

Unbeatable!

by Anonymousreply 40August 2, 2025 7:40 PM

Entire sticks of butter? When should we schedule your triple bypass surgery?

by Anonymousreply 41August 2, 2025 7:41 PM

You sound very judgmental.

by Anonymousreply 42August 2, 2025 7:43 PM

R41 doesn't understand

by Anonymousreply 43August 2, 2025 7:44 PM

He’s probably never had good country butter before.

Just margarine.

by Anonymousreply 44August 2, 2025 7:52 PM

[quote]R29 I’m sure most of you crowing about this have never actually been to the restaurant. I’ll miss it, great food.

What I’ll miss is the Paula Parlors behind some of the restaurants, where you could get butter beauty treatments. A pure butter rinse to make blonde hair sparkle, butter buffs for cuticles and dry elbows, butter facials to moisten complexions and make them shine…

Those shops are in danger of being shut down due to a lot of slip and falls. Especially in the final hose down line.

If people would just keep their flip flops on those wouldn’t happen.

They can hire her to make her butter soup and butter stew at MAGA-Lardo.

by Anonymousreply 48August 2, 2025 8:23 PM

She's MAGA?

I've made some of her recipes years back, her stuff isn't bad. I certainly preferred her over Sandra Lee and Ina Garten, who always seemed insufferable and too eye rollingly precious in her presentation.

by Anonymousreply 49August 2, 2025 9:00 PM

[quote]I initially saw her on a tv special where she stuck her face into a chocolate fountain lapping up the melted chocolate and thing's kind of went downhill from there.

As one would expect.

Trilogy of Terror dentures.

by Anonymousreply 51August 2, 2025 9:15 PM

Will there be a life size butter sculpture of Paula at her funeral?

by Anonymousreply 52August 2, 2025 9:17 PM

AI Overview Here are some of the most popular and best-loved recipes from Paula Deen, according to her website and online communities:

Original Gooey Butter Cake: This dessert is consistently ranked as a top favorite and is considered one of Paula's most popular recipes overall.

Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding: This easy banana pudding recipe has been a top favorite for several years running.

Southern Fried Chicken: A classic Southern staple, Paula Deen's take on fried chicken is a popular choice among her fans.

Southern Peach Cobbler: This comforting and sweet dessert is another Paula Deen classic.

The Lady's Cheesy Mac: A rich and creamy baked mac and cheese recipe.

Corn Casserole: A popular side dish that pairs well with many meals.

Biscuits: Fluffy, Southern-style biscuits are a staple of her cuisine.

Old-Fashioned Meatloaf, AKA, Basic Meatloaf: A classic family dinner recipe that remains popular.

by Anonymousreply 53August 2, 2025 9:24 PM

An early exposure I had to Ms. Deen was a holiday show where she made trifle.

Now, this is a traditional English recipe that layers brandy sprinkled sponge or pound cake (that’s then spread with preserves) with custard and whipped cream. You might do little variations, like add some berries or slivered almonds, but that’s basically it.

Well! Paula apparently never heard that because she used Coolwhip and chocolate sauce and threw in a bunch of crushed candy bars.

It looked disgusting.

by Anonymousreply 54August 2, 2025 9:39 PM

R49 Yeah she openly endorsed Trump in 2024 and went to his inauguration ball this past January. She's apparently good friends with Lara Trump.

by Anonymousreply 55August 2, 2025 10:10 PM

[quote] her stuff isn't bad

Most of her 'stuff' is nothing more than typical southern home cooking that most any southerner who had a good cook in the family grew up on. Nothing she ever presented was original to her. And one thing I can tell you is that all of her fancier dishes were dishes dreamed up by Food Network food stylists. They taught her the process of making them and she then went on camera acting like she'd been cooking and eating those dishes all her life. Fraud from the word go. I can guarantee you until she stared on TV she'd never even heard of shrimp & grits before. Nor has any southerner until they were created by some restaurant chef. So many of the so-called 'classic southern dishes' you've seen on TV food shows were just creations of TV food stylists. Real classic southern cooking is simple and cooked with lard, fat back, and the parts of pigs most people wouldn't eat if their lives depended on it.

by Anonymousreply 56August 2, 2025 10:27 PM

Who actually thought most of these TV chefs' recipes come from their own kitchens?

by Anonymousreply 57August 2, 2025 10:44 PM

Maga stinkshit! Pigfucker! Motherfucker!

by Anonymousreply 58August 2, 2025 10:46 PM

The black staff walked out on her when she demanded they only use the back door and stay in the kitchen

by Anonymousreply 59August 2, 2025 11:04 PM

I can't stand her, but you have no proof of that R59.

by Anonymousreply 60August 2, 2025 11:08 PM

Paula's BMs burst the rivets on the sewer pipes!

by Anonymousreply 61August 2, 2025 11:15 PM

She has a cooking series on YouTube and they're often posted on DL because she's almost always drunk out of her skull.

by Anonymousreply 62August 3, 2025 12:34 AM

She only closed one?

by Anonymousreply 63August 3, 2025 12:37 AM

The times I hated her the most was when she mispronounced common kitchen items. And if you aren't aware, the accent she used on her show was a total fake. She piled on the southern down home hick, with the "hey y'all" for TV. When she first got on TV, before she got her own show, she didn't talk like that at all. But when she would say "I'm gonna take this 'spachler' and lift this out of the pan", or "you want 2 cups of 'confectionant' sugar", I just wanted to grab her through the screen and choke her to death.

by Anonymousreply 64August 3, 2025 12:42 AM
