Trump fires a senior official over jobs numbers
Trump has fired Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, whom he accused, without evidence, of manipulating the monthly jobs reports for “political purposes.”
The BLS’ monthly labor report Friday showed that the US economy added only 73,000 jobs in July, far below expectations. It also sharply revised down the employment growth that had been previously reported in May and June – by a combined 258,000 jobs.
After the revisions, the jobs report showed the weakest pace of hiring for any three-month period since the pandemic recession in 2020.

Hey Trump...the weak job numbers wouldn't have anything to do with your poor job performance, your tariffs and your incompetency, would they?

And the funny part is that the reported numbers are wildly optimistically off; the real numbers (if we ever see them) would reflect substantial job losses beginning in the first quarter (while everyone waited to see what Shitler would do) and then began layoffs and postponing hiring leading to the dismal second quarter. We know there have been layoffs; Microsoft alone laid off 9000 people in July (despite record income of $27 Billion) after 6,000 in June amongst the 100,000 tech-sector layoffs [italic]so far/italic] in 2025. Non-tech sector layoffs are almost worse, from healthcare (HHS alone fired 10,000) to automobiles (facing a $1 Billion increase in costs due to tariffs...) to entertainment; we've already lost more jobs in 2025 than we did in all of 2024.
Brace yourself for the massive losses starting now that the reality of a buffoon shredding a healthy economy sinks in.

So next month's report will show 1,000,000 jobs created and an unemployment rate of 0.1%, with previous losses "adjusted" to record positives.

I think this makes him look weak and foolish and will only serve to undermine his support among the oligarchs. Self-own.
