Was Jason Priestley devastatingly beautiful in the pilot of 90210?

He was so young and so tiny. What happened??

[quote]What happened??

He got older. And facial injuries sustained in a 2002 car crash didn't help.

by Anonymousreply 1August 1, 2025 5:31 PM

Yes he was extremely beautiful.

by Anonymousreply 2August 1, 2025 5:32 PM

Whatever happened to the Brenda Walsh actress?

by Anonymousreply 3August 1, 2025 5:33 PM

I liked Dylan.

He was indeed.

by Anonymousreply 5August 1, 2025 5:35 PM

I never watched BV90210 when it came out in the 90s. I was 21 and thought back then it was a show for and about teenagers.

Is it worth watching it for fun and nostalgia? It's got to be on Pluto or Tubi or something. I could use a mindless soap opera type show to play in the background and still follow somewhat.

by Anonymousreply 6August 1, 2025 5:36 PM

Exquisite. Always preferred him to Luke Perry.

It was?

by Anonymousreply 8August 1, 2025 5:40 PM

It was a show about teenagers starring a bunch of hot 20-somethings and featuring campy soap opera storylines. I remember getting together with college friends to dish about it while watching. Sorry you missed out, R6. Is that stick still stuck up your ass?

by Anonymousreply 9August 1, 2025 5:44 PM

You were 21 and thought 92010 was beneath you? WTF, you were the target audience. The actors were like a decade than you.

by Anonymousreply 10August 1, 2025 6:01 PM

Barry Diller sucked the youth out of him

The gods are so cruel...

I've always hated the cheesy sideburns. I know those were the thing back then on dudes (thanks to him) but they were way too distracting.

by Anonymousreply 13August 1, 2025 6:12 PM

They weren't distracting at the time because every young guy wore them.

by Anonymousreply 14August 1, 2025 6:16 PM

I met him at a press junket early on ( I was friendly with Ian Zering so he introduced me). He was tiny but man his eyes and that smile he got. I would have let him do terrible things to me if he had asked.

by Anonymousreply 15August 1, 2025 6:17 PM

But he never did, Blanche. He never did ask.

by Anonymousreply 16August 1, 2025 6:18 PM

r16 No he never did.

by Anonymousreply 17August 1, 2025 6:20 PM

He was more attractive when he was younger and hotter

It’s pronounced “eye-un”.

Shocking.

by Anonymousreply 20August 1, 2025 6:25 PM

What accent is he doing in this episode? It sounds like Philly or South Jersey, not Minneapolis.

by Anonymousreply 21August 1, 2025 6:29 PM

I'd still do him.

by Anonymousreply 22August 1, 2025 6:31 PM

He’s not doing an accent.

by Anonymousreply 23August 2, 2025 6:10 PM

R12 I agree. I used to lust after him, but now, hmm, age has not been too kind to him. Aging is never kind to anyone, but it seems particularly cruel to some people.

by Anonymousreply 24August 2, 2025 6:20 PM

He's still handsome for his age (55), although he's done nothing to correct his aging face (which is pretty brave of him given that he's still an actor).

I saw him at a screening over 20 years ago - he was so tiny - like 5'6" or so.

He wouldn't have grabbed my attention walking down the street. Handsome face for sure - but cameras and angles change people's presence so much.

When I was young I remember watching a movie he was in about Marilyn Monroe, because I loved her. Got the unanticipated added bonus of seeing him naked, with his big cock flopping for a nanosecond!

I highly recommend 'Love and Death on Long Island', where John Hurt is besotted with Jason Priestley's character.

by Anonymousreply 28August 2, 2025 6:51 PM

Well at least he still has his thick, beautiful hair. Maybe if he stopped dyeing it, he would look like he was owning his age, which might make him more attractive. Because I agree, for a man as exquisite (thanks, R7) as he was, his face has coarsened more than I would have expected. Big boozer? Heavy smoker?

by Anonymousreply 29August 2, 2025 6:59 PM

Wow, the pilot was shot so differently.

It looks like a late 80s European commercial.

by Anonymousreply 30August 2, 2025 7:30 PM

When I was a horny teen I taped Calendar Girl off of cable and when I was alone in the house I'd pop the tape in the VCR, FF to the nude beach scene, put it on slo mo and GO TO TOWN looking as Jason's ass. Same thing with Matt Damon's ass in the shower scene in School Ties.

Back in those pre-internet days of the early 90s you had to get male nudity any way you could.

Best performance of his career, especially that final scene with him and John Hurt.

by Anonymousreply 32August 2, 2025 7:40 PM

I was in high school when 90210 was originally on and the big joke was that we had teachers who were younger than some of the actors playing high school students on that show.
