I follow Alessandra Ambrosio, the Brazilian supermodel, on Instagram. She recently posted about a short film made by her teenaged daughter.
It obviously had a lot of money thrown at it. And it was promoted by her and one or two other celebrities. It’s delightfully awful — so terrible it’s a must see.
I love truly cringe vanity projects. Please share any you’ve seen. They’re like nectar.

One that actually comes close to working, but then goes hilariously off the rails, is Neriah, Brooke Burke’s daughter with a wealthy Beverly Hills plastic surgeon.
She wants to be a pop star. She’s obviously extremely well funded by her dad. And to be fair, she actually has a lot going for her. She’s pretty, she can carry a tune, the production values are high because a lot of money is being thrown at it. The instrumentation is pretty good as well.
Where it all goes pear-shaped is the lyrics.
She seems to think she needs to be the lyricist to be a true star (which is actually usually not true). Her lyrics are hilarious.
Here’s a TikTok, the lyrics are usually textually represented because she’s obviously very proud of them. 😃 If you scroll through her TT you’ll see lots of these little song excerpts, with lyrics. They’re comic gold. She’s in her mid 20s, but writes like a twelve year old girl.
