People used to be judgmental about Nicole in the late 2000s / early 2010s.. She was photographed doting over her kids with her husband Keith Urban, and some people were suggesting that she had abandoned her children she adopted with Tom, since she was never seen with them. Then it came out how Scientology vilifies people who leave the cult, labels them as suppressive persons, and forces family members (even parents/children) to break off contact with them. It's one of the reasons that Katie Holmes ran away with her kid.
