These stories about normal people doing anything possible to appear elite or be seen close to wealthy, powerful people make me sad.

It used to be keeping up with the Jones’, but now it’s all about appearing to have the perfect life for Instagram and friends who are really just acquaintances.

People are running their lives to have things they could easily live without.
