Years ago, if you would have asked ANY of these rockers - Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, Blondie, etc. - if they would be touring and performing at 80 - they would have laughed in your face. Everyone would have laughed.

I think it’s more about feeling free than feeling sexy and sexual. At some point the latter two fall away, but the urge for feeling unbound doesn’t, at least for some people.

Iggy is supposedly sober and has been for years - but he did a LOT of drugs before. I'm not sure what counts as completely sober though - some people have different definitions. Like California sober means no alcohol, but you still vape or take gummies.

Here's Iggy 14 years ago - at around 64/65. He looked good then but the aggressive skin sagging was starting already.

R40 Old stars used to get way more respect than they do now. Music and performance is what he does. It's great for old people to stay lively, and he isn't just churning out pure shit like the Stones, he's actually turning out a song worth listening to now and then.
