George Lucas makes his first ever San Diego Comic-Con appearance

Mellowing out in his old age.

[quote]Lucas was previewing his long in development museum, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which is set to open next year. At the panel, held on July 27 and moderated by Queen Latifah, Lucas called the museum “a temple to the people’s art.”

[quote]The museum will also have two theaters, a library, an event space, and 33 galleries, including one of exhibit that will include the earliest forms of narrative art: the mythological Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods.

Moderated by Queen Latifah?

by Anonymousreply 1July 28, 2025 2:11 PM

r1 Yes.

Do you need to sit down for a moment, R1?

Are you okay?

by Anonymousreply 3July 28, 2025 2:20 PM

Guillermo del Toro was also on that panel. Latifah put her glasses on, she meant business.

He looks fantastic for 81. Good for him.

R5 Yeah I was about to say he never looks any different. I remember seeing an interview with him when I first watched Star Wars as a kid in the 90s and he didn't look much different then.

That said, I'm sure he lives a good life. Lucasfilm sold to Disney for over $4 billion.

I wish I had his hair. I'm 25 years younger. He was never hot but he aged incredibly well.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and gets everywhere. It's not smooth ... like you.

[quote] Do you need to sit down for a moment, [R1]?

No, just trying to make the connection. I would think they would get someone associated with his career.

Agree - that hair is enviable. I think it's real too.

by Anonymousreply 10July 29, 2025 4:09 AM

He looks like ozempic Santa Claus.

by Anonymousreply 11July 29, 2025 4:58 AM

He’s aged well.
