Don’t you dare release it without this timeless gem:

I never understood the cover as a kid. It’s only now that I realize she was an usher.

It’s so far from the only Broadway album you’ll ever need. So very, very far.

If someone is legit trying to do that, they shouldn’t include tracks from soundtracks, be they movie or TV. I mean, including a track from the God awful TV remake of Bye Bye Birdie??

The whole thing is garbage, actually.

Where is Tomorrow from Annie? Where is One from A Chorus Line? Where is Try To Remember from The Fantasticks? Where is People from Funny Girl? Where is If My Friends Could See Me Now or Mame? And why the fuck would you include covers rather than actual original cast recordings?

Why would anyone call this “the only Broadway cd you’ll ever need”???? Seems like that’s a lot of pressure.

They also released a follow up album, thereby betraying their own concept.

What utter bullshit the entire endeavor was.

The Fantasticks was never on Broadway.

Nothing from The Music Man?

The only Broadway CD you’ll ever need - nay, the only CD you’ll ever need - is the OBC of Follies. Everything else is a poor imitation.

by Anonymousreply 7July 29, 2025 2:06 PM

it's BS
