I was dating a social worker in the late 90s, and he used to invariably watch Judge Judy every day after he got home from work. he said that after listening all day to how messy and irresponsible people were with their lives and their children's lives, it gave him pleasure to watch this woman bark out moral and ethical absolutes to the same kinds of people he had to deal with.

Syndicated RI court show Judge Caprio had the opposite experience last summer with Judge Judy.

Caprio and his family were having dinner one night at a popular, quaint family-owned Italian restaurant last September in Newport, RI. While in the restaurant, Judge Judy (also a Newport resident) came in with her family, and was seated across the dining room from him. What's nice about this restaurant (I've never been myself) is that many 'notables' have dinner here, because it's hidden away 'off the beaten path', and those who frequent the place are mostly Newporters, not tourists. When someone famous is in the dining room, the others know enough not to bother them. (This place was a favorite of Aretha Franklin's, when she played the Jazz Festival over the decades).

Just because this one guy showed you have he was paid to be on the show does not mean there are not others. He's just the only one who is out about it. Are some of the cases real? Sure but it's small claims court. The main reason they go on there is if you lose YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY, the show itself pays the winners. That's why most of the time the payments are really low because shows are really cheap. It's win/win for both parties and you get an "appearance" fee of several hundred dollars for being on a show.

Getting into a fight with Trump is a no-win situation for any celebrity. He loves and thrives on it, and they have to deal with all the fallout and his goons. The best way to handle it is not to comment on him or anything he says.

I knew Judge Judy endorsed Haley, but I've never seen anything in which she publicly supported Trump. This thread was the first time I learned of this, and when I Googled it, there was nothing where she officially endorses him.

The fact she's easy on the eyes is icing on the cake IMO.

My favorite Judge Marilyn moment is when she got out of her chair and walked over to the map one of the litigants was using in his defense. She was wearing jeans and flip flops under the robe, like someone’s mother on a Target run.

I'm catching up on her 'Judy Justice' show on amazon from the second half of 2024, which was filmed in Feb-March of 24. WOW! Her granddaughter Sarah Rose Levy packed on the pounds! She's too young to have a big moon face and a double chin hiding her neck. At 26, she's a plump little turkey.
