In the last thread, someone mentioned Aiden was rumored to beat Carrie in the season finale. Abd while we may not believe the writers plan, if you listen to theur podcast, whether we like what they've done or not, they do claim they intentionally put things in that end up coming back several episodes later. Well, in the first episode this season, remember that Carrie's kitchen door alarm kept going off and she didn't even check it--she woukd just call the alarm company abd tell them it was another false alarm. Nothing came of that. Yet..If true that Aiden doesn't take the breakup well. . .I wonder if that damn alarm is going to start going off again. SJP had a smokin body and perky tits in season one of SATC. By the middle of season 2 she started looking too thin but very toned. Now she looks well preserved.

SJP’s looks always felt very New York to me. There are many women here who are not classic beauties but who shape and style themselves in ways that work for them. Through clothes and makeup and the way they carry themselves, they create an image that is in some ways more intimidating than traditional good looks.

I have it on very good authority this is indeed the last season. It’s too expensive. So relish these last few episodes because you won’t have SJ to kick around much longer! Clearly Duncan is going to be end game for Carrie which I’m ok with given how excruciatingly awful Aidan was in this reboot.

The last two episodes were likely written and produced as a single episode, but were split up after production. They both have the same two writers and same director. That would explain the short running times and why inane plots (Seema's deodorant, Charlotte's vertigo) were carried over for another episode.

I'm glad Carrie and Aiden are finally over, but this season has been marred by this odious relationship. With only three episodes left, they waited waaay too long to get rid of Aiden.

I can see how it would be very expensive to film. It’s filmed in NY and I’m sure the three main actresses are very well compensated. Nevertheless, it’s one of the top viewed shows on HBO Max, and I hate to tell DLers, it’s not being hate-watched like we do.

I believe the original SATC is a reason why so many adults today act like middle-schoolers well into their forties and fifties. It was sort of a cultural turning point. Before it, there weren’t that many shows or movies that depicted characters living for conspicuous consumption and self-centered pleasure. Yes, it was always built around the notion of love, but that was almost more of a plot device to get the women together and out in the city. The underlying idea, still playing out in their sixties, is this idea that putting on an outfit and having a social life is above all else. Sometimes that works out, but it usually ages better in media than in real life.
