You believe wrong. Their catamaran sprung a leak and started going under, they made the best out of a very shitty situation. I'm actually shocked three of them survived, I'd probably die just from the thought of having to swim out in the open ocean.

Also, these conspiracies involving more than one people tend to unravel quickly, they'd never be able to able to stay quiet and keep their story straight under interrogation after having been through such an ordeal. That only happens on TV.
