David Bartlett Rees was a writer . His career progressed and reflected his own life . He came out at around the age of 37 AFTER marriage and kids . He wrote children's and young adult fictional literature . He was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in 1985 and died from AIDS complications in 1993 in London . Judging by what his closest friends say , he died within the same attitude as he lived ..... Difficult to deal with at times , but never dull . UPDATE : Jenny Lee Watkins ( Rees ) did eventually move on and lived a quiet reclusive life . I don't know if she's still alive or not , but Adam grew up to reflect his father's preference . He's also done some work in literature and music . Stephen became a writer and also has done work in music . And the arrogant horrible lover of David that was featured in the video , also died from AIDS . He died in 1995 according to a former student of David Rees . That is all I could find guys
